I think the worst thing for Fabebook IS making it a cleaner design - in most designed products and companies this would me a step forward. What was nice about Facebook, was having this page that you can use to express yourself on with no hassle, using boxes on this one page that was the main page, so everyone saw this when they opened your profile. Now, we have next to no control over the content its now a list of he did, she did etc booorrring! Everyones profiles look the same. Wheres the fun!

This is #1 on my list of things that baffle me.

I can't understand how people are not liking this design. It's much better than the crappy old one. The Wall CAN be separated into parts, to remove the mini-feed part out of it. Everything is much cleaner, thanks to the Boxes tab.

Millions of us don't care about the Wall - we want INFO as the default tab for our profiles and now we can't have it. Instead of pertinent info about me on my profile, I have old,stale messages. It's annoying.

If there is a way to make your wall ONLY wall posts.. I have yet to find a way to do it, and Ive looked at all the dumbass yellow boxes and tutorials and theres no way. Also, the boxes tab is fucked up. It only shows 2 applications, there is nowhere to change the settings for the boxes tab like there is for other tabs, and the only way I can see to make an application work is to put it on its on tab. problem is.. that doesnt work either because the tab will have the title there but will be blank

Thanks for your comments & explaining the recent updates to the new Facebook. Some of your comments are spot on and have taken place after I created this video. I wish you would have seen it before they updated the beta version of this profile. Please note the date that the video was created. I happen to be one of the first people to check it out and comment on the new profile. And the wall has been merged into the News Feed. But, it is still called the wall. Thanks for the comments.

Oh & you don't seem to realise, brkress, that you can actually separate the Wall & feed by clicking on "Posts by Others" & "Posts by [USER NAME]".

Finally, people WILL look at the Boxes tab! It is just like the 'Extended Profile' on the old profiles, except better & more noticeable. People WILL look at the Boxes tab to see applications they want to keep up to date with like Top Friends. Just because you won't you can't assume no one else will.

The Boxes tab provides a nice way to tidy up the profiles & IS part of the ONE profile page. A tab is not a page, it is a part of the ONE page which loads STRIAGHT AWAY.

Also, Networks can be pointless, especially with the UK, because so many cities/workplaces didn't have networks (i.e. my city).

You can easily tell where a person is from by their city or hometown on thier profile!

The Wall is still there it is on the Wall tab. If anything, the Mini-Feed is now gone & they have replaced it with the new Wall which displays stories and posts one place to view all of your friend's recent activity!

Also the friends in other networks thing is not gone! Just click on the pencil icon on your Friends box & tick the box "Show Networks Section".

Please get your facts right before you make a stupid video which judges the new Facebook before you understand the reasons for it!

THE WALL IS NOT GONE! I jumped around the new site and it's not gone! You can still get to your wall-to-wall. The news filter can separate the wall from the news feed. With your friends wall, just click "From others" and then all you will see is the wall posts and no news feed.

The site says the "Wall" is there, but it is now a News Feed, not the old style wall. They are rebranding the wall.

The wall posts from your friends are still there. They are just mashed with the news feeds, which I found annoying at first, but you can filter them out and see just wall posts like the old style wall. I honestly like the change of style. I like to be able to see what my friends are doing even it its on my profile. I don't mind in the least.

I totally agree with your comments. The new Facebook UI site is not catering to users. The wall was a key component in helping folks communicate with each other (one of the best features). Now the site is more about Ads. The performance speed is better, but where was the information architect on this re-design? Feeling sorry for the designers (if there were any who were even involved, maybe they were beaten to a pulp by business/marketers?)... I'm considering leaving this site, it's unusable.
