@o0LittleChica0o Use "Jet Set" by Smashbox - that stuff is about as waterproof as it gets! Pencils and liquids tend to rinse out much easier. Hope that helps!

@chaebreannak Keep in mind that this is a celebrity video, and if you look at current trends, a filled brow is in:) Many videos do not feature these, which is a big reason we are bringing trends to YouTube! The great thing about this look is, if you don't like the brows, you can skip them when you do your own makeup;) Thin brows are out, but not everyone has to agree. Thanks for stopping by!

@givegoodface Well no, I don't really like thin brows either. I definitely favor a full brow, my brows are full. They just look a little too dark for me. Maybe a different shade of eyebrow pencil may have suited my tastes. But I do like the makeup you do overall.

All the models are so stunning. It's so unfair because the makeup on them looks amazing but I can guarantee if I tried doing the makeup in your videos I will end up looking so disgusting that I would cause the mirror to crack. I would love it if you did a few makeup videos with 'average' looking girls like me, no high cheek bones or full lips or amazing eyebrows or skin, just the average looking girl, so it can give us some hope that we can look beautiful. You're very talented!! :)

To be honest, there are hundreds of YT channels that focus on what you call "average" girls, and honestly the techniques aren't any different. Every face is different, and we are a channel that uses MANY faces, not just one - and each look is designed to be tailored to your specific needs. Sadly, even our models get called "ugly," proof that no matter who you are, you'll have haters. Love yourself first! xo

even before the makeup her skin is gorgeous! i use face washes and even a face cream that is prescribed by a doctor and special antibiotic pads.. my skin isnt HORRIBLE but is bad enough i wont go without face makeup.. how is hers that perfect? what can i use?

@BrianneAlexandra If a doctor is involved, it probably isn't a good idea for me to recommend products that interfere. Keeping a clean exfoliated face and using a good moisturizer is usually all you need, but if you have a skin condition, a simple regimen can quickly turn complicated. The best thing for you probably is to keep as few products on it as you can - which it sounds like you are already doing! Thanks for watching!

@zoelawliet173 Foundation doesn't really "cover" pores, but many primers can fill and smooth them. Try a silicone-based primer like Smashbox PhotoFinish primer. There are many skincare tips for tightening pores - just google and the world is your oyster. Thanks for watching!

If you have really bad acne what's a good liquid foundation that will cover it up perfectly, and is good for my skin?

@Janiea11 If your skin is very problematic, the best solution is to go bare! Airbrush makeup covers acne the best because it adheres to raised blemishes - but my fave foundation is Smashbox Studio Skin. It's oil-free, paraben-free, and doesn't contain things like talc and fragrance - but it covers well and feels amazing! Thanks for watching!

What is the difference between using a brush and no brush if I'm applying my own makeup? Some people say no brush is better, some say using a brush is better.

@preppieluv A brush gives fuller coverage and a more polished look. Fingertips give a more sheer wash of color, but can transfer oil to the skin (not good if your skin is blemish-prone). Sponges are workable (sheer to full coverage) - but can often breed bacteria if reused and honestly the best finish is when they are dampened. And two, I have a really ruddy skintone, how can I look a little more cream and less peaches without piling on the product? I use a light foundation but it tends to make me look a little grey. @KissesLeaveScars I love my Temptu AIR (temptu.com, DON'T get the consumer-friendly Sephora version), but recently was sent a Stilazzi NSA (No Strings Attached) compressor and I'm totally loving it. It's about half the size of the Temptu and much cheaper - Stilazzi.com. I will be reviewing it, for sure! For the ruddiness I'd use a color-correcting primer, don't use foundation to neutralize. Smashbox.com - correcting primers. Thanks for watching!

Hi I love your tutorials, I was wondering if you could help me.

Basically I am mega pale, like my skin is literally as white as snow so whenever I get foundation (even the lightest ones) it always comes out orange on my skin and does not blend in with my skin tone, I have tried adding only a little bit or using powder but nothing works :(

Any advice? also what lipstick/ eye shadow tones can bring more color to literally white skin?

@13angelofmusic13 The model is pretty fair, so this look might work well, the goal was to make her look more bronzed. My best advice is to use a light pinkie-bronze blush in place of a bronzer if you want a quick fix - I love Smashbox's "Bare" blush all over fair skin...stunning.

Why is SPF no longer a problem in photography? I'm just curious because I avoid SPF foundations for that reason and if it's not a problem anymore I will gladly buy SPF foundation!

@6969NicoleMarie SPF doesn't flash back on digital cameras. Some traditional cameras will still reflect, but most artistry lines are moving in the direction of foundations with sun protection (ie: Smashbox). Most people think titanium dioxide is the culprit, but TD is an essential ingredient in MOST foundations! Just a little factoid - thanks for watching!

Beautiful work! and I definitely agree about makeup artists needing to master the flawless look first, its so often skipped over for more exciting looks but it's absolutely crucial and in many ways more difficult to perfect.

I'm a mua myself and somehow didn't get the memo about spf and digital cameras lol when did this information come about? I’ve always avoided it when doing any work for photography..

@JustAMakeupAddict It's a common misconception, for YEARS I thought the same thing! Digital cameras pick up light differently than traditional cameras, so unless your photographer is using a FILM camera, don't worry about the SPF factor. Look at tome of the best industry foundations and powders, many of them now contain an SPF of 10, 15, and sometimes 20 or higher. Gotta love technology!
