no he didnt what happend was when he was onboard soverign the reaper ship, he had be given implants to make him stronger. when he died soverign took over the implants in his body to fight shepard. when sheperd killed it soverigns 'mind' so to speak was destroyed also. meaning this reaper lost all power so the alliance could go in for the kill.

Understood. The problem I have with Quarian back story is how preposterous it is. Sure, they've lived on a sterilized flotilla for many generations but by this time, there are multiple advances in medical science in the Mass Effect universe that could boost their immune systems. Besides, Shepard would use a condom ;)

I'm still not sure why saving the council is considered good when its really the tactical thing to do. Shoot the enemy while they're occupied, no? Letting the ascension be destroyed is both the renegade *and* stupid thing to do.

It's a bit of a gamble to think you can defeat the rest of the fleet hovering about when you're finished with sovereign :p

lol well if I understand the situation correctly it's that your option was to send the fleet first to attack Sovereign or to save the Destiny Ascension then attack Sovereign. The outcome is the same either way though [Sovereign dying] so really, Paragon is the way to go. [unless you enjoy being a human-supremacist =p ]. Personally, I want the Destiny around come Mass Effect 2. Going to need all the firepower we can get. heh.

If the first, then you just wrong. When you look at Revan's whole story, the dude was just such a badass.

If the second, I don't know how you call that personality. There's never any inflection in his voice, even when he's mad he just talks louder. Now Cpt Anderson sounded cool, shepard was just too cardboard. Kaiden and Garrus had good dialogue, Tali wasn't bad either.

Yeah, humanity is generally known for not exactly being the most rational or kind of people, but that's what I loved so much about Mass Effect. The best hero ending wasn't just to go in and kill the bad guys and ensure human domination, it was to work together with aliens and honor your morality and allegiance.

I also like how most of the space-battle is told from Joker's perspective, he kicks so much ass even in that relatively tiny Frigate.

In the modern Navy, by tradition any officer, regardless of actual rank, who has command of a ship is referred to as 'Captain'. The same could apply to Assari ships, except the officer is referred to as Commander. and frankly, Commander just sounds better than captain, doesn't it?

If memory serves, the only hierarchy of military ranks we get was a codex entry for the Alliance, not the Citadel Fleet. Or it's possible that she's just the ranking officer on board the Ascension. Anyone higher up could have been killed or simply not have had the time to get on board. It's not like they expected the Geth and Sovereign to come in and rip their defenses to shreds, so they may not have had a full crew when the battle commenced.
