It's not her choice. It's an organized CD signing at a STARBUCKS. If you read the item description it says that in there. If it were not an organized CD signing - an event set up by the record company - but something like bumping into her on the street, or waiting for her outside a concert, then you'd be absolutely right - she wouldn't have to sign even one thing.

I don't know if any of you have been to CD signings. They often take a lot of TIME and ENERGY to get through. The result of that SHOULD NEVER BE ANYTHING LIKE THIS.
Here is what those of you who have not been to CD signings should know.
- It varies how many copies of an album an artist will sign for a patron. Generally you will see up to 5 or similar is allowed.
- The item to be signed should be purchsased at the store where the event is held. They often check receipts.
- They will say in advance whether or not the artist will sign other items than what is being sold, personalize autographs or take pictures. These things are the artist's decision.

It's not her choice. It's an organized CD signing at a STARBUCKS. If you read the item description it says that in there. If it were not an organized CD signing - an event set up by the record company - but something like bumping into her on the street, or waiting for her outside a concert, then you'd be absolutely right - she wouldn't have to sign even one thing.

This is true - they do. I disrespect them just as much as I disrespect her. This behavior here, though, is a step above the line. There is no credible way to defend what she does here unless you have low standards for human behavior to begin with. I do find her, indeed, disgustingly rude. Everything from the sound of her voice to the look on her face. I am absolutely *repulsed* by this video.

A friend of mine dragged me to see her in concert once, and it was pretty good, and she has some good tunes. After seeing this I will never support her career again and wish her the worst. It's one thing to refuse an autograph elsewhere, but at an autograph signing? Absolutely not. Once the CD is sold and the person brings it to her to autograph it is NONE OF HER BUSINESS what the person does with it. If she is not cool with that then she should not do an autograph signing in the first place.

Read the whole description, people. He wanted one for himself and the other to sell so he could pay his expenses for making the trip to get his own copy signed. That's more than fine to do.
Even if he wanted them both to sell, she's still obligated to sign them. It's called a CD signing! It's called showing up for work and being a professional. It's not up to her to pick and choose who she wants to sign for or what they do with the autograph.
I wish her the worst - career-wise, of course.

Lack of professionalism is always unforgiveable. You wouldn't want a doctor operating on your eye to show up without having slept. You wouldn't want to go to the theatre and have an actor ask for their lines because they haven't rehearsed. Making people explain why they want her autograph and judging them for it is unprofessional, to say nothing of rude. It's a business transaction - you buy the CD, she signs it. It would be different if he asked her to sign something different than advertised.

I don't know if any of you have been to CD signings. They often take a lot of TIME and ENERGY to get through. The result of that SHOULD NEVER BE ANYTHING LIKE THIS.

Here is what those of you who have not been to CD signings should know.
- It varies how many copies of an album an artist will sign for a patron. Generally you will see up to 5 or similar is allowed.
- The item to be signed should be purchsased at the store where the event is held. They often check receipts.
- They will say in advance whether or not the artist will sign other items than what is being sold, personalize autographs or take pictures. These things are the artist's decision.
