Doubtful, his body fell off the control center's glass ring when debris started raining down on the Chief. Even if he survived that, the Halo's firing would have killed him anyways. The Dawn was the only ship left around the Ark. Regardless, he was an amazing character and soldier that saw the war from beginning to end, very few could claim that while playing a key role in the war. Sergeant Major Avery Junior Johnson, Rest in Peace, your duty is done, 2470 to 2552.

Well, Guilty Spark is a computer and thus had to use logic based on variables that were definitive and controllable. Johnson tried to take a chance, and Lightbulb went insane. Once he recognized an unacceptable decision, he realized Johnson and the entire UNSC were responsible for the destruction of his old home and the near destruction of his new one. Everyone hates him for it, but think about it. Oh, and R.I.P. Sergeant Avery Johnson. You were more badass than the Chief himself.
