really, this little animation. Watched the whole thing. Not worth it, the shock at the end was sort of obvious, since about halfway throught they specifically say whats going to happen.

It had no realy emotional value aside from making me feel horrified so in a sense it was a good horror

but there are some show dont tell rules broken, like at the end did the robot really need to explain what happened to the parents. Couldnt we figure it out while they are eating

I found this film a massive let down. It looked nice but the acting was terrible and so was the edit. I liked the concept but I felt like the direction lacked nuance. Felt heavy handed – even the “not showing the murder to get more tension” stuff. Nice shoots tho and good post.

Honestly dude, i really liked 50% Gray and Silent City. I just felt like this one didnt hit the mark with characters and acting - and comments i wrote in the last message. The visuals are very pretty with nice flares and CG and attention to detail (the rain on him was great), but these things dont make an emotionally engaging story.

Look i hope it gets you where you want it to. I'm just putting my honest two cents in.

The way the robot was abused by the child (who was supposed to be his best friend)and could only smile and still obeyed the orders, freaked me out, I felt horrible for the little guy... (especially when the bag brakes, or when he is outside counting in the rain with the kid screaming at him)
