  • OMG! Fader Spazz!

  • imagine doing THAT midway through a performance!

  • @theshinywolf yes yes ... my clients love it when this happens

  • hi can you tell me how to make mines do this thanks in advance

  • Can anyone help me out I have this machine, and I love it. But one of the faders is constantly ticking. I would like to deactivate this fader but I can't. It's REALLY annoying, because it totally distracts me from my mixing. Much appreciated!

  • Whats the fill name of this thing??

  • I wonder if tis would be too loud for mixing/tracking...

  • @rexatar

    no man...

  • My question would be, what quality sound can you record at? Need better than CD level...

  • @sclogse1 - yes.... [:)]

  • buddy, this is a MIDI Controller and not a Mixer or audio interface

  • @kubalibre77 How isn't it a mixer? It's an 8 Channel Mixer which doesn't any pre amps built into it but happens to use Midi instead of USB or Firewire to send it's automation data to the DAW for mixing down pre recorded sessions. So technically that makes it a 'Midi Controlled Mixer'. It's the same as any keyboard which has midi ins and outs. That's also a Midi Controller but I believe people still call them Keyboards...

  • @MrMatthewtaylormusic It's not a mixer because it doesn't mix audio. If you bought a "midi controlled mixer" you would expect that it would mix audio with the help of something else that controlled it by midi. The computer is the mixer in this case, and this is what's doing the midi controlling, so it can't be called a midi controlled mixer; mixer midi controller is more accurate.

  • @sclogse1 No audio flows through the MCU. It's only a control unit. Think of it as a really complicated, fancy mouse.

  • Wow relieved this video that upload. Guy´s the MCU is amazing to work. i´m use Pro Tools. Another DAW functions ok too... In the hour of the mix, nobody repairs if it makes "noise". the important one is the mix to sound well! and to the critics guys. die of envy! or if they content in mix with mouse kkkkk

[]´s to all and good recs

    Sorry for my English

No meu caso, uso Pro Tools.

  • Does anybody know of any control faders like this that work with pro tools ??????

  • LOL ! never I found out this is like Meant for pro tools !!! SUCKKAAAASSSSS

  • there are a lot of control faders that works with pro-tools.. i am using M-audio I/o Project mix and it works well with protools...

  • command 8, 003 factory. just google....

  • alright mate how do u do the moving faders

  • what's the difference of MCU and MCU pro? only the usb?

  • no, the MCU Pro comes with MIDI port I/O

  • MCU has midi port I/O too just no USB

  • And the purpose of this is????

  • it seems a litlle noisy compared to the M-audio or DigiDesing consoles

  • you should synchronize them so if u put it up to a piano it will play it

  • different widths. the keys are further apart than the faders..

  • use a microkorg

    or an old casio

  • is this compatible with logic pro 8???

  • i dont know, if Logic used HUI Mode, yes... but, i dont know....tks

  • yes :) cause logic is amazing anything like this works with it!

  • yeah haha that's true, even the digidesign ones work with logic xD

  • hahahahaha why do you need moving faders? thats why you have hands

  • when you're working with your daw you need moving faders

  • yeh, like the other guy said you need it when your Automating! if you didnt have it and you set a fader to go up at one point, and it doesnt do it on the mixing desk you would get really confused and anoyed!

  • Because automation + stationary faders = pissed engineer.

  • its so if durring a modulation ur fader is at the top (in the program) but the physical fader is at the botom you dont get a "jump" in the mod

  • Why are people so amused and entertained by moving faders...

    :)

isto é sinal que agalera quer ver a Mackie trabalhando... uhau

abraços a todos e boas festas!

  • tactile feedback.... That's it. When I look at the control surface, what I see is what I get

  • cause they are amazing :)

  • to much noise!

  • seconded, i thort about switching my behringer for a proper mackie cos of the fader noise but now i'm cured.

  • haha you complain about noise

  • wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • jajajajaja

  • Do you know if that toy it would work in something else like....hmm...mixing music maybe?

    hee...

  • what game is it?

  • the game is called "When Faders Attack!"

  • ohh!!...........

  • ahhhhh!....i think i just got off on that....

    lol j/k

  • pretty loud for such expensive equipment. seem at least as loud as the cheap bcf2000 faders.

  • i agree....they are pretty noise prone

  • that's not what their for fag

  • That's so fuckin' hot!

  • BRING BACK THE HUI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for this! reall yappreciated, helps a lot. seems as loud as the behringer bfc2000 faders. and that kinda changes quite a few things, decision wise...

  • yeah, mackie is definately more powerful. i thought the bcf2000 was great value for the buck but then again it had no display and the virtual one didn't quite do it. thought about getting a mackie universal but ... it's kinda pricey. i'm sure the extensions rock too. also the c4 should be a nice addition. btw, there's a bcf2000 video amongst my videos, check my profile.

  • ahh ok.. eu ja tinha visto esse video antes.. achei bem legal tbm, porem pesquisando bastante, resolvi comprar a MCU mesmo. []´s

  • its demo of mackie control or you make the automatitation in a sofware?

  • Only noisy when using them constantly. Obviously only some kind of experimental song would need that kind of automation. The motors would probably wear out if they were used like that everyday for years. They are not as such designed for that. Be realistic - for the most part they only need to move to reflect banking nudges or to reflect mouse movements. If you're that concerned about the noise, hide any tracks with automation!

  • valeu..

  • ohhh..those faders ARE noisy !!!

  • relaxa..

  • Wow! I had no idea it would be that noisy! Hmmm... that changes a few things.

  • WTF LOL

  • tks
