I'm 13 and I could beat these guys on my kx 85. Baley looks like he would be in the c class at my local track prolly get lapped. I think I heard of Rickie Joneson, he works as the deli manager at the local piggly wiggly were I live. My dad said he was a football hero at the high school and stole his ex girlfriend... so if it werent for rickie joneson I wouldny have be born. I think I like rickie just because of this even if he is a sloe poke.

And for the record - these guys were super fast for the era (and compared to today's standards, too). The 250cc 2 strokes so much faster than the 450F bikes of today. I still own and ride a '93 YZ250, and I can smoke all the younger guys on their 450F bikes (on the straights). I'm too old (38) and scared to keep it WOT over the jumps these days.

What a great race; In my opinion, the greatest of all time. David Bailey was an amazing rider and so fun to watch. There wasn't much he couldn't do on a dirtbike. It's a damn shame he got hurt. He was by far the best!

Baily was a smooth fast rider, RJ always looked like he was on the ragged edge and would crash any time but rarely ever crashed. I believe the 80's were the glory days for mx.
