  • This is incredible. I wonder if the rest of the orchestra resents him or if they are proud of him. I bet they are proud. I can't imagine anyone not being proud of him. Everyone here is so talented.

  • Yikes. That's pretty amazing.

  • *comes out of womb* *picks up violin* *starts playing*

  • one of the few youngsters with a nice tone

  • WOW

  • I'll kill for the vibrato!!

  • Well done!! I hope he continued like this since! :-)

Where is this? Orchestra, which town?

  • FUCK U ASIAN PARENTS ! let your kids be kids.!

  • @Smiley21481 FUCK YOU AMERICAN PARENT!! you spoil your kid too much :P

  • @LucielStarz123 "Asian" is a race/ethnicity. "American" is not. For example, we have "Asian Americans." This is a common slip/misunderstanding, especially for non-"New World" countries. Man, does Ambassador Gary Locke confuse the crap out of the Chinese. Lol.

This kid is amazing. Beautiful performance.

  • @Ozymandias495 Yeah I know that, but mainly when I said American, I usually mean the typical white group.(( nothing racist here, just how I group people)).

I know right?! I'll kill to have his vibrato

  • @LucielStarz123 Hihi i'm not american :D

  • this is amazing its people like this, so talented at a young age, who inspire me to take my music further! no matter what race, colour or creed! we are all human beings the same as anyone else!

  • Fantástico! Excelente! Parabéns garoto!

  • he seems like hes going to grow up and become a serial killer.

  • well, i'm asian, and i daresay my childhood is wonderful... exactly the same happy childhood like those cynical commenter had~ climbing tree's, try to break my own legs bucuz plastered leg looks cooooool~ and...oh wait!! and PERFORMING ON THE STAGE!!! it's where i build my confidence, and learn how to RESPECT PEOPLE!!!

  • @JiChia Trying to break your own legs because 'plastered' looks cool? Seems like someone's a likely candidate for a future Darwin Award.

  • I could probaly play like that...........if my teacher even gave us the sheet music. Mean teacher!! Other than that. That kid has some talent! we r just learning vibrato

  • Comment removed

  • @47Girlpower , if you're just learning vibrato then you probably COULDN'T play it anything like that.

    but always aspire towards greatness!

  • I am totally speechless, such composure and focus. Extraordinary talent, I must say.

  • Thay can do it because of the discipline. because the are not lazy, because they think they can do it..... Please, take care with your silly and selfish comments.....is really embarrasing reading you.....

  • Only in Asia. Why do Asians beat there children into learn instruments? Can't they decide weather they want to play it or not instead of shoving a 8 inch violin down a 7 mouth old baby's wind pipe. Da fuck is wrong with you people!?

  • @PierceViolinLord my parents made me learn violin... am EXTREMELY thankful to them... but you know what? that is called discipline... asian people are different than western people and that is how it is... there nothing wrong with us...nothing wrong with you either... its just that we are not lazy and you guys are! :)

  • @chungmanchang AGREE! I just wish my mom/teacher was stricter when I learn the violin so then I wouldn't quit 5 years ago. Mehh, I'll kill for a strict teacher

  • I've seen what the videos are on this channel and is this the mother of the kids' channel. All of them have virtuosos. Man, the mother must be proud to have such talented kids! :)

  • I'm Asian ,17, and just started to play violin last year. and i'm still suck.I wish that i have studied this sooner. So i think this kid just satisfying his dream.

  • @tobeonhatnha Im also 17. I've been playing for 9 years and i'm still working really hard to be a decent violinist. I think that anyone who really tries and cares about music deserves to be respected. I wish you luck. :)

  • @marzipan0002 i really wish i started sooner, wish u luck with your music.

  • i know a kid like this...we're accompanying him in the mendelssohn violin concerto in e-minor.

  • very talented!! Mendelssohn's concerto is one of my favourite pieces, but never have I been able to play it..

is he still playing? who's he by the way? Just wanna know how old is he now, really look forward to seeing his performance again

  • o_o Just because were Asian doesn't mean we are good at everything D; its because were not lazy. Like any other human being we have pride and stubbornness, we like to stand out so what, don't most? So we actually try and receive that goal. And i came here to listen to this masterpiece. But when i looked at the comments i felt like i needed to say something. And stubbornness is one thing that gives us pride to accomplish this goal by practicing alone, and working long hard hours. Don't judge. D:

  • @xthuxnguyenx . I agree with you. 100%. Don't pay attention to the idiots on here. Enjoy the music.

  • @xthuxnguyenx Right, what stupid comments, you´re right, If you practice and you´re not lazy you can do it.....They are just jelous...Don´t pay attention to them.....

  • @xthuxnguyenx Stubbornness? I would call it determination or rather commitment.

  • OMG!!! That is amazing!!!

  • There's something about asians.....

  • I seriously don't understand how anyone can force a child to play something which he is NOT ready to play, let alone in public? What is the craze behind? The age number to impress the audience or an adult forcing a child to realise his/her childhood own dreams for him? Like schoolispiss said: Great playing kid, but I truly feel sorry for you.

  • I bet the older violinists feel like schmucks lol

  • lol bow hair came out

  • poor kid, his psychotic parents stole his childhood by forcing him to be "perfect" at whatever he liked. Great playing kid, but I truly feel sorry for you

  • @schoolispiss Ok, you pissed me of reaal bad there. What's with you American and childhood anyway? I was a "gifted" one too, and bless you, I've never felt anything about needing a "normal" childhood. We "stoled childhood" kid are actually glad that we're ABOVE you normlies. What make you think you're so great anyway? All the thing that is invented to make your life easier is created by US, not You. So suck it and go feel sorry for ur pathetic arse somewhere else.

  • Comment removed

  • @schoolispiss Wowww, I'm sooo fucking impress. If you're so goddamn ''gifted'' and so fucking great. Then you of all people mus have been able to understand how we ''the gifted'' should feel. Child psychology, no one can force any child in anything and have them exceed. At least one small part inside their heart must wanted it in order for them to succeed. So go buzz the fuck off somewhere you smartass asshole. --Sorry, must have forgotten my manner.

  • @LucielStarz123 Please... stop... it's painful to see how badly you are failing right now... If you are insulting somebody, do not make yourself look like an idiot... you're just insulting yourself. And again, your method of discussion really doesn't seem gifted.

  • @schoolispiss Yes, indeed you are right. It is rather idiotic of me indeed to try and and argue with an uneducated heathen like you. I bid that this the last that I shall hear from you, may God himself bless you. For a worthless ignorant scoundrel like you would never made it far by any mean.

  • @schoolispiss You know, not all kids in Asian are forced to study something that they liked. They wanted it because they want to know how to use it and sometimes can be useful in the adult time. Most of them study instrument in their own will. I am a violinist and I start play violin when I see Mercedes Cheung's video. My parents even ask me why did I play violin. It's not about forcing actually. We asian like to study something that is useful in our life in our own will.

  • @ShimizuAoko ja klaaar :-D

  • @ShimizuAoko See, you actually responded in a polite manner and gave me an example unlike @LucielStarz123, I respect that. I might reconsider my opinion. However, I wouldn't be so exclusive to say that only "asians like to study something that is useful in their lives".

  • @schoolispiss Now I never said that and by no mean do I intended to. I merely stated that in the past 5 years I've been living in America, the student does prove to me that they are even meager piece interest to the opportunity that is offer to them. Saying that, it doesn't mean that I don't know of people who truly value the freedom and education that America have to offer. It seem that the kid here has yet to understand the value of what they're possessed right now.

  • @LucielStarz123 you're either bipolar, have fucking issues, or are just trolling

  • who is this incredible string breaking 7 and 9 year old old violinist!?

  • Comment removed

  • wait...

in the title it says 7, but in the description it says 9

    is he 7 or 9?

  • i reccommend you to add more tag to show the world more than this

  • dommage...

c'est tellement bien de jouer aux playmobils !

  • instead of saying 'ASIAN', why don't you go practice? :)

  • What is his name so I can continue to watch for more video's?

  • He is remarkable, I love watching him evolve!!!! Fantastic!!!

  • Was there no video cameras/cameras allowed?

  • Thats what I call talent

  • @darkgarb555 that what asian call normal

  • Hahahaha! All those adults got out played by a 9 year old :D

But then again, so did I 0_0

  • Great performance! Your many hours of practice has really paid off.

  • He can certainly play notes.

  • Everywhere where i see at is asian talented human in youtube..

ALWAYS somebody is fooling "lol just a asian" Or like it isnt same than us?

like it is something else than normal human specie?

Asians are usually superhuman specie with talents. but it doesnt mean at somewhere is event like "best talent race" note: (no asians) <- because its racistic. asians are just better than us because they have practised moremore highly than us. if we go in coffee they will practise that time too. we lazy.

  • Asian has no translation for "childhood"

  • @MrsSchizofretka of course it doesn't, because asian isn't a language, smart ass.

  • @00Mj000 Hah, yes true;) Me and my stupidity! But... You know what I'm about, so..;) Don't expect too much from blonde;p

  • @MrsSchizofretka it's ok ;)

  • lol at 6:28 he had a string tht came off... and he still played it perfectly! O_O

  • @gyatso129 it wasn't a string. it was a piece of hair from the bow.

  • this kid make me beleive in reincarnation. look at him play with all the expression he have, wow that's incredible.

  • @thejesusfreak919

I am 20, have played for 12 years now, and I am a third year music major focusing on performance in violin...

I want to kill myself after watching this...

  • He is expressive !! He is genius!!

  • omg, i just can't compute the two... i started violin when i was 7, i had ten years of orchestra and i still sound like shit. seeing such perfect sound from such a tiny violin and such tiny hands is mind boggling. wowowowow

  • Asian dad

    -Good. Now do it backwards!

  • im in AWE! O_O!!

  • that great for a 7 year old

  • lol he's so cute <3 and very talented as well

  • -_-

  • oow shit

  • ヴァイオリンの弾き方が上手だね。

  • i don't think he's as good professionals and doctorate students, because this performance could have been much much much cleaner, even for a prodigy, BUT all things considered, he is still very talented.

  • Asian.

    THAT'S CHEATING!

  • @AnaTheQueen thats very offensive and racist to us asian people. even if you meant it as a joke, its still pretty offensive >.>

  • @xenox234 My robot challenges you to a duel.

  • he has a BIG head

  • I hope i can be as good as him. im 13 and im learning pretty fast and i play pretty good is what my teacher says but i know i have a long road to go if i want to be super good. My dream is to play in Mr. Nobuo Uematsu's concert for Final Fantasy. Maybe one day but for now i'm working on it.

  • @CuteNeko12 if you practice hard you could easily become extrodinarily good.

I'm 14 and have been playing the violin for about 6 years, but have never taken it very seriously until about a year ago, but since ive started to practice i have become one of the best violinists in my orchestra.

  • he played so hard until one of the strings broke apart D;

  • What a talented guy .. mind blowing**********

  • This is very humbling. What could mankind accomplish if he were perfect?

  • Anything you can do asians do better.

  • ive been playing longer than he lived ad i cant even vibrato like that -.-

  • @bbytwinkz I know!! My little sister is in the 7th grade and she barely even knows how to do slurs! She hasn't even been taught vabrato!

  • If you think you're good you have to know that in korea is 7 year old child who is better.

  • no es real es computadora

  • wow that lady scarf is Burberry $

  • Wooow.....but hes only seven and shows a mastery of technique that alot of adults dont have. im a violinist and im impressed... i wish i had that level of talent at seven.... i had to very hard to get where im at today. Some ppl are just born this way.

  • In the south, we have 7 year old kids having sex and trying out cigs

Therefore, by comparison, Asians are OP

  • all the other players are asians too! -.-

  • I was playing Suzuki Book 2 at this time!!!

    yay...

  • The orchestra doesn't play well.

  • is it just me or is there some bow hair dangling starting at 6:29

  • of COURSE he's asian -.-

  • @Lilcinlove12 that doesn't mean anything just because he's Asian, i'm good at violin and I'm white it just means that they actually make their kids learn something and not just sit around the house being bored all day..

  • @violinlover12345 RIGHT!!!!!

  • what makes these kids so amazing?!? it can't just be practice alone? can it?

  • One of the things that amazes me about younger kids playing violin is how precise they are and also how well they do vibrato

  • WEll tone is the most important factor in playing ANYTHING, then technique and intonation. If you dont have good tone, NOone wants to listen to you no matter how could your technique is.

  • I hope that he won't be one of those and that his teacher works on improving his bow and his musicality, not just his intonation.

Again, if he's able to play Mendlessohn at age nine, he's pretty awesome. :)

  • Okay, yes he's really talented and I bet he has a bright future ahead of him if he works hard. However, I'm concerned that he's on the stage at all. Prodigies such as Hilary Hahn and Joshua Bell studied with renowned teachers and built up their technique before performing with an orchestra. If you look at his right hand, there's very little flexibility. There are many soloists that were pushed to become so very early, and now don't have the technique to continue or have injured themselves.

  • omg.... I'm gonna shoot myself :D

  • Why do all the prodigys have to be Chinese?? Like 4realz

  • @iRoNiiCSTriKe

maybe because they have a population of 1.3 billion and thus a larger talent pool

  • @iRoNiiCSTriKe

    julian bliss is english..........

but no-one cares about clarinet XD

  • HOLY BALLS.......!

  • Comment removed

  • this is farcical

  • cheat this dude took the APTX 4869 in detective conan lol jk

  • should post correct ages to the titles... pretty deceiving

  • NO, ASIANS DON'T COUNT ANYMORE.

  • o.e this kid is better than me and he is half my age LOL

  • Imagine how jealous all the other violinists are.

  • He is fantastic! What is his name?

  • Hung Hao!

The little hao ren did and excellent job!

    From:

    Team Captain

    Time Jump Team

  • 짱이다!!!!

  • I even don't know how to hold the violin bow lol :p

  • This reminds me when i was a kid...Getting whip if i dont practice hard enough!! Ugh i hate hate that!! Getting lock up in the basement until my dad saves me!!! I HATE being force to learn something i dislike!!!!

  • 700x more talent than the cameraman.

  • If those asian are so good in things.....Why is are there always problems on there side of the world?

  • @melikefail Because of stupid American militarism. Also, sinful people.

  • And he more often than not kills the notes.

  • I don't mean to one of those people who simply point out the flaws in others... but it is obvious he has more or less copied this and simply played it for a long time under the crack and whip of someone deteremined to make him learn the notes, if not technique. He can play most of the notes, i'll give him that, but his vibrato is slow and wide and doesn't vary, his left hand sticks out whenever he does vibrato, he oten pulls ahead of the orchestra, and he lacks muciality. Other than that, nice.

  • @byllybobjk Do you play the violin?

  • I don't think there's a need to be so critical, especially when you're talking about a 7 year old child who is playing an extremely challenging piece and plays better than professionals and doctoral students that I've heard! He has MANY years of a bright career ahead!

  • @brookeviolin Yes, I do play the violin. You are correct, there isn't really a need to be critical... but I get rather annoyed when people get worked up about 'prodigies.' There seem to be a lot of them, and the ones that I have known personally play with little to no musicality. As I don't want to get into a large argument and spam up the comment page, I will just say that it is a matter of perception. This piece may be extremely difficult for some; I Lrnd memorized and perfcd over the summer

  • @brookeviolin but I definitely agree that he has many years of a bright carreer ahead; there is no disputing that he can play the violin :)

  • @brookeviolin i would definitely not go as far as to say he performs it better than pros or doctorate students, I'm a cellist but just by listening to this, it sounds too easy of a piece for pros or doctorate students to even waste time performing. he is good, and for now, thats all he is

  • @PenthouseSuiteFilms "it sounds too easy of a piece for pros or doctorate students to even waste time performing." excuse.. me....

almost every single professional violinist out there has performed this piece before in their professional career. this piece is NOT easy. sure, there are harder-sounding concertos out there like Sibelius and Tchaikovsky, but Mendelssohn shouldn't be labeled as "easy" simply because there are less notes.

  • @sakura678910 my intention was never to bash the piece, I'm just sick and tired of people kissing the asses of the dime a dozen child super stars of the classical world. and when someone tried to say this kid could play at the level of pros and doctorate students at age 7, i lost it

  • @PenthouseSuiteFilms i see what you mean. but i don't really see how the difficulty of the piece has anything to do with your point there. i agree that these prodigy kids cannot compare to the level of professionals. i find it pretty remarkable that he can play this piece at such a young age... and yes, he is very good. but definitely not the level of a professional.

  • Parents pushing doesn't always work. After 5 years of playing my sister would never touch a violin again. I'm still playing in a community band. Prefer to do things my way with my own practice schedule.

In the remake of "Karate Kid" with Jackie Chan & Jaden Smith the lead Chinese actress was "pushed" to practice violin for the Beijing Academy of Music.

This guy has good techniques & nice facial expression as well. Looks like he even snapped some hairs on his bow near the end.

  • @thepianoplayer416 Yeah, he snapped bow hairs at about 6:29.

Amazingly professional to go on without paying it too much attention.

Watch out for him; this kid's got talent, charisma, and focus! Triple threat!

  • lol he was 3 and 7 when he played Mozart 3rd, and 7 and 9 for this.

  • LMFAO @ HIM PLAYING WITH LIKE PEOPLE 5 TIMES HIS AGE AND HIM GETTING THE SOLO ROFLLOLOLOLMAO

  • @Toxic591 ride every single rollercoaster in the world

  • God...Im tired of seeing Everything they CAN do. Please, show me something Asian ppl CAN'T do. lol

  • @jbed202

    actually compose the music

  • @choisubin96:

    Shut up!

  • Korean is the one of amazing asian ;)

  • @choisubin96 yup im korean i agree

  • Spectacular - there is much to be said for genetic aptitude, but I think much of this is rote learning and follows the rule of practice practice practice. His intonation and sense of ensemble are poor enough that I am even more convinced of his learning through an eternity of drill. He has my sympathy for being denied a carefree childhood.

    HF

  • ! holy crap!!! alien asian.

  • I kind of feel bad for all of the adults playing around them...

  • he is using vibrato , the first time I tried to use it I get my hand injured for 2 weeks :(

  • Godbless him he is so talented! He inbrase me! And how long have he been playing the violin ?

  • IT CANT BE JUST IS NOT FAIR HAHA !

  • damn! when I was 7 I didnt even knew what a Violin was xDD

  • if you pay attention at 6:30 you see his bow start to tear up, for all thoughs people who might not believe he's playing, he's playing.

  • his memorization alone and beautiful tone too !

    Real Talent was nurtured

  • incredible technique, intonation and tone. Only 7 ? Future Star !

i teach kids as young as 3 !

  • Amazing; fabulous; INCREDIBLE!!

  • this kid is the most amzing violinist ive ever seen

  • Very impressive since he's like the only young child there & he's a solo. Mhmm.
