  • The maestro that you see is Munis Sharifov, one of the top Kaman player in Azerbaijan. As Arkhatych mentioned there are so many countries that are using this instrument or similar to one. But Azerbaijan is the country that musicians using this instrument most.

  • There are two types of kamanches, the Persian one which is slightly bigger than this and has a much bolder tone, and this one which is commonly used by Azeris and Armenians. Kamanche in Persian means little bow.
