Hidan no Aria is stupid in all the right ways. The fanservice has a point, comic relief scenes have canon continuity, and Riko is incredibly rounded in more ways than one. The only problems are some of the characters, green-hair and Shirayuki especially, and below-average animation. And the only genuinely stupid thing about this show being Vlad's true identity.

The story actually gets a lot better right around after the part where season 1 ended.

Chances of a second season are actually quite low due to the sales the BD/DVD got once it started selling in Japan. How ever it's not impossible, and since it's by JC Staff it is more likely. Although if anyone is curious what happens after season 1 ended, you can actually find the light novel translated online. Although there are still some volumes/chapters not translated it's still being worked on, and the light novel series itself is still being published as far as i'm aware of.
