It is not just impressive that he plays with his hands, it is that so many have done it since, including John Bohnham and nothing sounds as good as Papa Joe.

He was never underrated by us older drummers who didnt rely on ten tom toms

and double bass pedals and as much noise as you can make to get the

audience screaming !!
