Jaedong's scourge micro has never been good as Savior's in his prime but of course JD's muta micro is equal or perhaps better than Savior's was in his prime. Jaedong in his past ZvTs just hasn't been able to get a good return in his muta investment. I noticed this time around he got +1 attack and armor and seems to have wiped those turrets out effortlessly. Maybe this is exactly the stim-pack his standard ZvT needs? Afterall, Flash revolutionized TvP with his early Goliath upgrades.

i noticed jaedong had 2 control groups of mutas from his first person view. this kind of muta massing is really powerful, the pros almost never do it ,but its a very common noob strategy, and i'm wondering how do you counter it? terran counter would be irradiate i guess, but one irradiate vs 22 mutas seems kinda weak. i'm especially wondering what the protoss counter is? (anything other than massed corsair? and they can dodge storm)

the real power of irradiate comes from the need for the zerg to spread out after the spell. Muta harass is most powerful when they are bunched. Terran pros should be able to own spread mutas.

Sorry, I should have said: once the mutas are spread (because of irradiate) they can't dodge in and out one hitting the marines. At that point MM, with stim, chew through mutas (as long as you outnumber them by about 2) and are more efficient with resource consumption. Hwasin no longer could keep up his production of marines to compete, though, due to losses earlier in the game. gg

Jaedong played smart this game, even scouted for a hidden base that was not even there just to be on the safe side. So he could go all in mutalisk eventually gardians (greater spire at end of the match):) gg by jaedong and i did like his former game with the 4 pool rush :D
