When I do need a doctor, I make the sacrifice and pay for the service on my own. The reason why health insurance is so expensive is because of over regulation and a bias tax code. They need to allow companies to compete on a national level. They need to allow people to be able to chose their own deductibles and different plans.
Nothing is for free. Insurance measures risks, it's not prepaid healthcare. If you want insurance to pay for the common cold then you should be prepared to pay a high deductable.
