Sounds like the pedal is ok, but you should tune your guitar to really give a good example of the tone.

i own this pedal, and i love it in front of my kitty hawk amp. very subtle overdrive...

it works perfectly well with TUNED guitars through TUBE amps and supports TASTEFUL playing. No seriously dude, just delete this video, please? mxr/cae should sue you.

I have this pedal and it sucks bad. very farty and fuzzy, middy and compressed. it is total shit. not for metal or blues. maybe for shit amature grunge garage rock, and that's it.

The worst audio ever for a demo award goes hands down to this guy. Ouch!! Probably the camera mic, but have a listen before you post. I have the MC-401 and it is a great pedal. I tried the MC402 and its good as well, nothing like this tone fucking nightmare!

I think it sounds better but video with low quality sound is not good recommendation. BTW. Always start demo with tuned guitar, other way it is not professional.

The sound of the pedal doesn't really have anything to do with the guitar's intonation or tuning. The basic sound of the pedal is all that matters in youtube demos, not if the guitar is tuned.
