  • really skilled axe-guy! Controlled in attack movement, so he can be effective in parrying an in counter-attacks. He could easily win the duel.

P.S. Very good costumes and arms!! Compliments

  • @FURIEREPAZZO Maybe but he is attacking the shield / weapon not the person why? (also notice the lack of any threat to the axman's head, even though the swordsman is in range to deliver the strike). The outfits are very nice but the sparring is untrained, fooling around in distance is a good way to lose! The shield's man must get in quick and close and complete the job. Oh I use an axe so I know what I'm talking about.

  • @Truckisyellow it's a clear "demonstration" fight, also I think the guy with sword+shield got no a lot of experience to fight effectively vs a longaxe. I said that the guy with axe is controlled: he won't hurt too hard his opponent! (though he can..)

    (p.s. I often use one hand axe+dagger in combat or 1.5 hand-sword..)

  • lol The axe and the sword are real, I hope one of you gets hurt

  • axe is a superior weapon in that combat. having just the really heavy swing hitting the shield would had destroy it.

  • It was nice of the person with the axe to never swing hard enough to risk injuring their opponent... but still, viewing this videos, the guys who think that they're "badass" because they fight with real steel instead of foam weaponry look more foolish than ever. If your opponent is daintily pawing at you, that shouldn't make you feel tough. =/

  • @WickedUnrelentingVLN I fought live steel and with those foam things and the foam fakes just don't feel weigh or handle like the real thing. You can beleive you an expert only using foam crap but if you pick up a real weapon with no live experience you'll make a fool of yourself because because the whole heft and technique are completly off. Live steels the only way, after all if you care anything about authenticity you didn't see see people in the day with bofffers. Foams for kids and beginners

  • @WickedUnrelentingVLN Oh and LARP weirdos that like to dress up as eleves and pixies

  • Does the Ax man/woman have a helm?

  • AND MY AXE!

  • the ax man was a girl im prity shure by the sound of the voice & accidents happen im shure they wernt trying 2 hirt 1 another STAY ON THE HORSE

  • Untrue. The axe-wielder is clearly the superior fighter. I've known some highly skilled people with poleaxe and sparth axe, and I recognize all the hallmarks of somebody who knows what they're doing with a really dangerous weapon hampering their style for appearances, and in order to not completely mow through their partner.

  • it's a mock fight. did you know that animals mock fight? i'm sure they know what they are doing lol

  • if i was the axeman, i would have gone berserk on that guy

  • same

  • lol one sway and you would go down... x)

if you dont control your moves, you get really hurt, even in reenacting.

  • lol wish axeman wasent holding back..and went berserker on that guy.

  • Yeah... the axe could cleave the shield with multiple blows even if reinforced. Good fun though.

  • Very entertaining.I would also like to see these two same guys put on full helms and good armor. They could use a rubber axe and waster sword. It would be good to see the two vids side by side and compare.

  • They're both holding back noticeably. But at least it shows how an axe-man can do something other than flail wildly.

  • I agree, takes a lot of skill to actually use an axe well, and he knows what he's doing.

  • the ax men was seriously holding back. Safety issue of course, but it remove the idea od the ax men. Just an opinion.
