@bo5061 90%? I don't know what your gettin at. I would like to understand how an oat mash could have any taist at all when it runs threw a reflex still and i know that's what ya need to make vadka. If they are getting some smoothness out of an oat based mash i would like to know more about it. A smooth vadka is what i want to achieve. I've heard a sugar wash is all you need being the reflux strips the flavor anyway.
No disrespect to Russia, it's a great country, and they do make great Vodka, they also helped popularize it, BUT, Vodka was most definitively invented in Poland.
I don't usually care. After about 10 shots you do lose the ability to care about what the vodka tastes like. But the better stuff won't leave you as, lets say, sour in the morning.
@trolltacular1 I'm with ya. If you run it way down in a reflux still it shouldn't have any taist and no hang over. Within reason. I would like to know more about the oat mash.
ironically the best vodka the poles appreciate most is called: Finlandia vodka from Finland. The price is 2 to three times higher than the usual vodka
@SoccerDJRob actually... thats very debateable. poland for a majority of its history was conquered by russia. its from the polish region but being russian or polish depends on what country ruled at the time. was it independant or was it under russian rule. so it all is down to year and year of invention
dude i dont what you have been drinkin, but i drink vodka and i can tell the diffrence between the the vodkas you named, you may have only had one vaodka and think you are a master disteller.
You know what's funny? No one really wants to hear this, but it's true. There is no difference between high quality Vodka Types (Unflavoured). If you took three blank bottles, and filled them with Skyy, Absolut, and Ketel One, No one could tell the difference. Go ahead and argue, it's the truth.
Poland is good.. Real Russian vodka is strong really strong!!!

Polish Vodka is awesome. Luksusowa recently became one of my favorites. It was the first Polish Vodka I ever tried.

I prefer Moskovskaya or Russian Standard. ALso tried Absolut (Sweden) but that one didn't match my prefs of vodka taste.
