  • So much easier on the farrier's back. Many excellent draft horse owners use stocks in some fashion for farrier work - safer for the horse as well as the farrier. It's one thing for a small horse to fidget and fuss if they feel insecure or off balance and it's quite another if one of these guys suddenly shifts his weight onto your back. The chains are also for safety - you don't want a draft (known or not) to suddenly rear up and get a leg over the bar of the stock.

  • Hoefsmid schrijf je met een d. Van 'smeden'.

  • Misschien zou de eigenaar van dit paard z'n dier eens moeten verzorgen. Het zit onder de bagger en ziet er niet uit. Hij moet zich schamen.

  • That is THE most incompetent piece of farriery I have ever seen. If people are frightened of horses, leave them alone.

  • @tetrachtys Using carts like this for heavy draught horses is normal but the way he's using it isn't. He obviously couldn't find more chains to keep this horse 'under control'. Also the horse looks like shit. It's dirty and need a good brush. Then again, it's Belgium.....
