Great singer and a good conducter. I will listen to this singer on youtube after this experience,(and Dies bildnis ist..) Kári Friðriksson tenor from Iceland,(on yotube in some arias and Lieders).

I do wish the sound were closer. Having said that, however, I can't think of another German tenor singing this aria in Italian as well as Schock. His voice is rich and beautiful. And though his first top note is somewhat effortful, the second (at 3:25) soars --

This sound is not perfect...but you can listen to a real distinguished legato and hi spersonal soundproduction and timbre! Great.... BRAAAAAAVO! Thanks for posting this great german tenore

Surprised he sung this in Italian. I have a German version in better sound, but Italian is of course always better!

He does sound kind of distant here - It wasn't recorded that well, but it may have been for radio. I agree his German version was recorded better but this one is better because it's in Italian.
