Do not watch the movie with any expectation of it being about the Eureka Seven series or you will be disappointed. It is still good in as far as it goes, but it adds little to the story and just kinda pisses you off. I dont think I'd unwatch it but it makes me grumpy

@cheenadengin Im with you on that there is only a few shows out there that can get you this invested in the characters. You really start to care about them.

With that said there is one other show that I couldnt help but tear up over even in the 2nd watch. Clannad and 2nd season clannad after story. Both seasons were good but the 2nd really hits home and is just imposible to get though with out geting emotional.

People who've only seen clips of the show and never had the awesome, full-on experience would probably think it's only about mecha's when it's mostly about a clumsy, naive 14 year old boy who's in love with an alien girl in human form. she learns a lot from him and he matures a lot more along the way. This is THE best Anime ever! The english voices are better than Blood +'s english voice acting.

this is a great video. although this is an anime geared towards a younger audience, it still manages to be evocative of basic emotions felt by all ages (of anyone who has actually watched and enjoyed the series). i'm a snob who loves bebop and champloo, but the scenes and feelings captured in this movie are very endearing

A pretty good anime... and yet the ending was SHIT compared to the real ending T.T That frikin... Well, guess I shouldn't spoil. But srsly, if you want a real ending, go read the manga.

As for the 2nd season, I don't think it'd be a good idea; they changed enough on the first series as it is, and the manga makes it clear it's over. So it'd be a new anime using Eureka SeveN chars, and that sounds wrong.

You're mistaken. The manga is the adaptation, while the anime is the original source. And I disagree, I found the anime to have a much better ending. The manga just felt cruel and bittersweet for the sake of being different.

Not just the sort of "they lived happy ever after" crap they gave us on the anime. And btw, I'm talking about the last minute or so of the episode 50. But I liked the last 4-5 panels of the manga than that last minute of the anime. Still, worthwhile series all the way.

Man, this is probably my all time favorite anime. I literally watched all 50 episodes like 10 times haha. I wish I could just forget everything, like all the names and most of the awesome lines like 'HIGHER THAN THE SUNNN" or "I....CAN....FLYYYYY!", so I can watch it again, without knowing what's gonna come next. Either way, I can still watch this again and again, and still love it.

I was trying very hard to tell my own story and have my own unique fight scene with this video. Most people probably don't realize that it is an amalgamation of so many different episode and so I felt rather successful in that regard. However it is nice whenever someone who is very familiar with the series points it out and applauds me for that aspect.
