It baffles me...everybody has clearly pointed out that this version DOESN'T live up to the original but doesn't anybody care that PANTHRO isn't featured at all????? If it wasn't for him none of the vehicles or weapons would've been made. You can see this version is too stuffy and cliché, nothing brand new. At least if he was there it would bring some style and coolness as he did in the original.

well they remade and i think its the best remake i have ever seen,the story is more in depth and the cats show more feelings in my opinion 100% thanks to the makers ..

@CainG88 For the record, the animators for the original Thundercats were all Japanese (the Pacific Animation Corporation). There were a lot of shows that aired on American TV in the 80s that were done by Japanese studios.

I guess people don't understand. When the original Thundercats came out, it WAS anime. The style has just evolved, that's all. It's not like they're taking Scooby-Doo and turning it into... er, bad example. But seriously, stop getting so worked up over it!
While the animation is up to par I don't know that it's better or as charming as the original. The stories seem more in depth though which is nice. I think I'll like this series over all.

this is an awesome revamp from the original. I don't care what nostalgic's say, I watched Thundercats religiously when I was younger, only to try and watch another episode when I was older, did I realize how childish it was. The episodes were all based around morals, and had mild action coupled with repetition. (Unicorns! Unicorns! @ButlerLewis People HATE on the new shows and movies in the first place, if its not just an already done and popular concept but given a new twist. Like Adventure Time's stoner-esque take on the lone human boy in the future, and heck, Star Wars with the samurai movie, bushido, and the Japanese myths.
So the best thing to do is to only really care about the execution of a concept, not always care about it being downright generic.

You people writing anti anime stuff are aware that the original Thundercats animation was directed by Katsuhito Akiyama and that the style used wasn't that different from a lot of the Anime he directed at the time aren't you?
@SolidGoldCEO and just another thing look at the credits of all your 80's favourites and you'll find more then a few Japanese names in there. Even the Real Ghostbusters and the 90's Batman had heavy Japanese involvement and those are two very American franchises.

I guess people don't understand. When the original Thundercats came out, it WAS anime. The style has just evolved, that's all. It's not like they're taking Scooby-Doo and turning it into... er, bad example. But seriously, stop getting so worked up over it!

While the animation is up to par I don't know that it's better or as charming as the original. The stories seem more in depth though which is nice. I think I'll like this series over all.

this is an awesome revamp from the original. I don't care what nostalgic's say, I watched Thundercats religiously when I was younger, only to try and watch another episode when I was older, did I realize how childish it was. The episodes were all based around morals, and had mild action coupled with repetition. (Unicorns! Unicorns! UNICORNS!) -.-' I'm loving the indepth plot these new episodes have to offer, the actual story of Thundera and the lifestyle, its great

@ButlerLewis People HATE on the new shows and movies in the first place, if its not just an already done and popular concept but given a new twist. Like Adventure Time's stoner-esque take on the lone human boy in the future, and heck, Star Wars with the samurai movie, bushido, and the Japanese myths.
So the best thing to do is to only really care about the execution of a concept, not always care about it being downright generic.

man whats going on in this decade? it seems we're going back to the originals! new bugs bunny, new thundercats, dragonball z is renewed as dbz kai, voltron, hell even beavis and butthead is returning! im starting to think animation in this decade wont suck as bad as i thought it would. regardless if the show is good or not atleast there bringing back stuff from my chilhood
