In 1984, The Plague Years had started and people wept to this song. It felt like the flood. Drink Up to Human Kind !! No other stage sorcerer like this dynamic woman. I saw this show 9 times. Excellent. Who knew it would be ten years before she would take to the stage again in her Experience The Divine Tour starting at Radio City Music Hall, Fall 1993. Ending it in Las Vegas (Diva Las Vegas)in 1996. What a gig!

Saw this show at Saratoga Springs in 1984, August. Miss Midler played for almost four hours. Great audience. She was having a good time. My Favorite song of the show. It was twelve years later that she returned. Just as dynamic!

Do a search for "Happy Rhodes Here Comes The Flood" that one is pretty amazing too. I've always loved this version, though curious as to why she changed the lyrics. I saw it when it first aired and was knocked out. Bette is wonderful!
