Ignorant American comments on most MGS ost. Saying shit like "This should be our anthem", "play this on veterans day"
You guys have no idea how much you are contradicting MGS and what the heroes of these games stand for. Big Boss and Boss where betrayed by their nation, Politics decide your enemy on the battlefield. MGS4 criticises the war economy that Americans drive. There are so many anti-war messages in MGS, AND America is the biggest catalyst for WAR.

Paz said(and I am paraphrasing) "I understand peace is not a natural state for mankind, and so we have to fight for it; you won't get it by sitting down and moaning" (Good) Soldiers are noble men and women that fight for good, but they are often used by politicians. The series has a very positive message about wars for good, and a very negative one about wars for power and wealth. The Series is both pro-war and anti-war.
@DarrelHerring You are absolutely right. The series delves deep into war philosophy overall and explores many sides of the discussion. I also believe that peace is not a natural state for mankind. Thing is, in this day and age war is driven by economy - it's routine (used by politicians - bad) and that's why I get agitated when people post patriotic comments suggesting America is noble or something like that.

Yes, it is difficult to have to wait. That is also the reason I am lurking the youtube ost :P It is really tempting to just pop in MGS3 and play it again. Therefore I must fight the temptations so that the experience will be more fresh when I finally get the HD collection :)
I am planning on playing the original MGS sometime before release when I have time. Or better, hunt down a copy of Twin Snakes ( I never got around to playing it).
@JohnnyGameGuy I hate my younger self, I never really payed full attention to the story and I only ever finished MGS2 and MGS3. I also didn't take care of my consoles, so my PS1 and my PS2 are both broken. Since I stopped being an idiot, I have learnt LOTS from the Metal Gear wiki, so I know the story; I just wish I could play the games. I wish Kojima would remake ALL of the games for the Xbox360, just so I could play them all, but you know what Kojima's like; has to be always moving forward.
@DarrelHerring Oh! So you haven't played Peace Walker or MGS4 yet either? I am also a 360 owner, so I had to borrow a friends ps3 to play MGS4. As much as we love these fantastic games, asking for remakes is a bit silly when there is the possibility of a new game that could potentially offer more. Speaking of which, Kojima is planning to talk about MGS5 soon, and details on MGS:Rising will surface in the next month or so. Lots to look forward to :)

So yes there are a lot of hot women in japan, but there are just as many if not more, hot asian women in other countries, japan just happens to get the most exposure.

This brings back a lot of good memories. The Boss is easily one of the best characters ever, definitely not your usual shallow villain. Her motivations and drive to go forward are something rarely seen in stories.
This, along with a superb soundtrack, make MGS3 my favourite game of the PS2.
Reason I like this song so much is because every part of it pretty much sums up all the anguish each of the characters went through - you can't help but feel sorry for Snake, who killed Boss .. and of course .. no one should ever forget ... THE PAIN ... THE PAIN .. THE PAIIIIINNNNNNNN *explodes*

This hits me hard. Poor Boss...both of them. She had to die, and he had to live with it, being the one who had to kill a great hero. Which one was the strongest at heart, I will never know.

@IceCoolG4mes As a soldier you don't fight for what you believe in but for what your government believes in. That's also part of the MGS series and Big Boss learn it the hard way by having to kill the Boss himself.
Just remember, nobody needs to die for another's cause. Fight for yourself, what you believe for in the end, you and you alone can judge your own deeds.
By far the best game I have played of all time. Metal Gear has got to be the best video game series. It delivers amazing characters, unique gameplay, amazing music and possibly the best story line ever told in video game form. Bless Hideo Kojima and Harry Gregson-Williams for delivering us the best video game series we have played in our lives.
mgs 3 is the only video game that made me feel every emotion, happy, thrilled, excited, scared, confused i laughed i felt sad i even shed a tear at the end when eva betrays snake. More than any film or book has made me feel. AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Than you hideo.
Man, every time I hear this music form MGS3, I always shed a tear. Just to remember the woman who gave her everything just to preserve the honor of her country, and accomplish her mission. I salute The Boss, you inspire other people to do the same. Being loyal to the end.
I did not like The Boss during the story, maybe because I didn't understand her role the first times I played the game. But I admit she was a strong character, my sympathy was for Snake suffering even this loss.

I swear this is the only game, let alone only piece of entertainment I've owned that has nearly moved me to tears. You've really got to give a standing ovation to Big Boss. He deserves one more than Snake. After all the betrayals and loss he's experienced through his life instead of just killing himself, or becoming a drugee, or alcoholic he just kept kept truckin' through to the very end.
Out of all the games I have played and finished, the ending to Metal Gear Solid 3 is by far my most memorable and easily my favourite. It brought together the underlying elements of a wonderful story and brought to light the incredible dynamic of a truly amazing character. It has a way of making you feel proud, sad, angry and disappointed that Snake's enlightenment can't be shared with anyone else. It tugs at a person in a way that few modern stories can.
@raiserofchickens I cried with that ending, there is people that find sad batman the dark knight, but this one surpass it, the endings are pretty similar if u think a little, batman stay as an enemy of the city he protects and the boss stay as a enemy of Russia and USA but he did all for his country as a true patriot and no one will ever know that because that's how needs to stay, she was a true soldier.
The ending of MGS3 was nothing short of magic when i watched it 3 years ago. Now, sad to say, it's lost some of its effect - age can be a real cunt, sometimes.
the boss is true that deserves her own game...but on the other hand...she is he only legend in the metal gear unvierse...every other character in the series showed also theio weak side...snake big bossand raiden...seeing her story from he ouside perspetive makes us understand better what a true hero is
When I first played the game, the piece that starts at 4:11 caused a wave of tears to roll from my eyes. No bawling, just stone faced awe. Actually, that happens every time I've played it since.

wow... this song is just amazing, like the game it appeared on, MGS 3 was and still is, one of the best MGS games, but something that i dont understand, is why does one of the video suggestions is just a fat girl defending twilight, it just doesnt compare to the magic of this track.

By far the best game I have played of all time. Metal Gear has got to be the best video game series. It delivers amazing characters, unique gameplay, amazing music and possibly the best story line ever told in video game form. Bless Hideo Kojima and Harry Gregson-Williams for delivering us the best video game series we have played in our lives.

mgs 3 is the only video game that made me feel every emotion, happy, thrilled, excited, scared, confused i laughed i felt sad i even shed a tear at the end when eva betrays snake. More than any film or book has made me feel. AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Than you hideo.

Man, every time I hear this music form MGS3, I always shed a tear. Just to remember the woman who gave her everything just to preserve the honor of her country, and accomplish her mission. I salute The Boss, you inspire other people to do the same. Being loyal to the end.

I did not like The Boss during the story, maybe because I didn't understand her role the first times I played the game. But I admit she was a strong character, my sympathy was for Snake suffering even this loss.

I swear this is the only game, let alone only piece of entertainment I've owned that has nearly moved me to tears. You've really got to give a standing ovation to Big Boss. He deserves one more than Snake. After all the betrayals and loss he's experienced through his life instead of just killing himself, or becoming a drugee, or alcoholic he just kept kept truckin' through to the very end.

Out of all the games I have played and finished, the ending to Metal Gear Solid 3 is by far my most memorable and easily my favourite. It brought together the underlying elements of a wonderful story and brought to light the incredible dynamic of a truly amazing character. It has a way of making you feel proud, sad, angry and disappointed that Snake's enlightenment can't be shared with anyone else. It tugs at a person in a way that few modern stories can.

@raiserofchickens I cried with that ending, there is people that find sad batman the dark knight, but this one surpass it, the endings are pretty similar if u think a little, batman stay as an enemy of the city he protects and the boss stay as a enemy of Russia and USA but he did all for his country as a true patriot and no one will ever know that because that's how needs to stay, she was a true soldier.

the boss is true that deserves her own game...but on the other hand...she is he only legend in the metal gear unvierse...every other character in the series showed also theio weak side...snake big bossand raiden...seeing her story from he ouside perspetive makes us understand better what a true hero is

When I first played the game, the piece that starts at 4:11 caused a wave of tears to roll from my eyes. No bawling, just stone faced awe. Actually, that happens every time I've played it since.
