@QSNSxMagicz I think the way the system works it also takes into account how confident it is in your rating. Because Apollo's account was fresh, it wasn't very confident in his placement so he advanced rapidly. If you've been playing for a while it will take more to shake up the system's confidence and promote you.

I have to say thank you so much for these videos. These are actually the only ones who made me actually want to get good in multiplayer and I'm still practicing getting the basics down like never making mistakes in build order but my mid-late game macro is steadily getting more and more solid.

@tr0gd0r0090 Well,i'm diamond so ofc i am not that good,but the one reason to get sg is either, FFE,into Double stargate phinx,Or FFE into 1sg void harass to deny third,which is also good,but there is obv no reason to get it vs terran,i heard phnixes are good vs P but never really tried it so can't really say either but it's viable tactic also you can try to do end game mother ship VS Z its not bad and might worth the shot

If you get a stargate you should be harassing with phoenix, which makes it a little more complicated. It can be good in PvZ though and PvP as long as you aren't getting 4gated.

Stargate play is a lot more difficult in my experience (I'm mid-gold). It kind of sucks in PvT because marines are fantastic anti-air. It can be really effective vz Z and P, but every time I try I end up focusing too much on phoenix micro and lose because I neglected unit production.

@tr0gd0r0090 the way it works is in pvp (most common stargate matchup) is stargate>robo>twilight counsol> stargate the reason he doesn't do it is cause 1. this is a tutorial for lower level players 2. in masters the standard for pvp is blink so stargate sucks.

i am having problem with playing against zerg with protoss.He usually go roach and zergling, expand probably slightly ahead of me. i had a mix of stalker,sentry,zealot and colossus. Then, he would change to corrupter, then broodlord. I can pretty much takes out the ground force, if he is heavier on air, but then i have no idea what to do against broodlord. Can i get some hints? thanks

@MegaFoch You need to click on a sentry when you've unlocked hallucination, then click on the Hallucination button (it looks like an eye) and then the phoenix (or C then X for short). Then the phoenix will appear above the sentry and you can use it to scout without fear of losing a unit.

@Krauz85 Play what you enjoy, but I find zerg the hardest to play because it's hard to keep making drones and an army aswell as I find it hard to use more than just lings roached and mutas but its your choice but you will learn easier what you enjoy

@wardul Thanks for the reply. The problem is that i like all 3 races and their playstyles. I dont want to be random though. I want to focus on 1 race only and get good with that. I dont have very fast reaction skills, so perhaps zerg is not for me. I like the fact that protoss seems to be not so micro heavy since they have very high hp, on the other hand there are things such as forcefields and psi storms. Terrans seem to get difficult at high levels. So i dont know what to do.

@Krauz85 Personally I play protoss because I dislike terran it bores me, zerg is the funnest for me but I find it really hard as unfortunately I'm not a woman and can't multi task... I would reccomend protos for you... it relies alot on micro, like shoot move back shoot move back even though it is also hard to change mix your units but practice :)

But I was struggling the past year with becoming Gold. And when i made it with the start of season 5, I was quite impressed by that situation and my ladder opponents. And I consequently played bad.

Then I watched this series and it helped me so so much. It just gave me simple directions to just win win win (at least at gold).

@qwas12348gr5 not true,if z is going for mutas blink stalkers aren't enough to defend even if u have  3cannons/expo .all the game u will have to defend mutas instead of harassing and u will lose.blink isn't enough ..archons and storms are a must

@IIIPewterIII Normally best way to defend muta as Protoss is a combination of a few things. First point of call is blink stalker with +attack. I normally have +1/2 by the time any reasonable number of muta attack. 2 cannons / 2 pylon powering per mineral line (if a lot of muta). Archons are more user freiendly than storms so if he continues with muta get archons, blink stalker + a few cannons will sort you out nice. Obv get zealots to deal with zergling as muta/zergling is norm.

@tikotikocat Your opponents aren't stronger. dApollo just makes these guys look like they suck. He isn't doing anything special, but his scouting is Waaayyyyy better than most people at this league, so he always has the right unit composition for what's coming, and his units are always in good position when it hits.

Bottom line. dApollo makes these guys look like they suck because he has better decision making, and he has better decision making because he's well informed.

Generally, I would agree with you. But that first diamond zerg on Xel Naga really was terrible. Hey seriously over-reacted to the phoenixes when he should've been able to tell that it was a hallucination, he didn't apply any pressure to stop Apollo from getting on 2-3 bases, and didn't even try to take a third himself until later. That was more like a gold player.

A lot of this tutorial helped me, but it isn't really a tutorial because you aren't instructing on HOW/WHY. You skip over the thought process and the WHY in favour of the conclusion. At one point I remember you saying that you would win because you had "better solid macro&mechanics" of course you have better macro&mechanics, you're in masters. You did not show us how to learn better macro and mechanics. I would like to thank you for the videos but don't call it a tutorial if it isn't one.

@ivoryashes He explained at the beginning of each game the basic build and to WHY he was doing that build. In game he then explained almost every major decision he made based on what he saw / predicted. Watch the video and ACTUALLY listen.

Dear applo/anyone who knows i just played a game where i played vs a terran.Now he went m/m/m and i had a stalker/sentry/zealot comp.i Saw his army comp via the scouting with my sentrys and i built two collosus as he attacked i had both of them out and won the battel by a mile.After that he went and built a ton of vikings and i stopped the collusus i had in production and built immortals instead.Is that viable vs the m/m/m (had blink stalkers and immortals with 2/2.Sorry for my bad english :D
