Idiots at the Ontario Landowners Association !! The problem is not with M.P.A.C. it is with the tax rate set by the Municipalities.

Property tax is by far the fairest tax of all. Like income tax, property tax is based on wealth. However, unlike income tax, you can not shelter your way to pay less tax.

Putting a cap on property tax increases makes no sense. That would be like putting a tax cap on the income you made as a teenager. When you made $10,000 but now make $100,000.

I work for MPAC, it's fairly based on market value, don't build 1000sqft additions if u don't like more tax paid, MPAC has nothing to do with your tax rate you fools. And I'm not under my desk Im out assessing ur property..
