Its a big topic, but I'll just say one thing. Until women do their fair share of approaching, that is 50%, women in general have no right to whine about something they don't know anything about.

They don't know what its like to be on the approacher side. Its easy to judge when you're on the privileged side. The reason some guys get dumb, is because being the approacher SUCKS. They find out that if they respectfully aproach women, the rejection hurts a lot more.

@Komsip Well I was in school at the time.. i just graduated.. I actually had my heads really into the books and made little time to go out.. but I changed that since then lol

I can relate too! Caribbean guys in my area say dumb shit, but I can laugh at what they say & not feel threatened. Not the same with 'some' American guys. They yell from across the street talking nonsense. When theyre with their friends forget about it.

What's worse is when some guys feel the need to grab your arm. So disrespectful. And of course its not all, I see it mostly with the loser type younger guys.

actually i live in the suburbs.. when i go to the city for school or work or just anything the men are that way, but since I have been driving I have avoided those types.. but now they do it on facebook too.. SMH!

oh ok. in my personal experience I've seen it a lil more when i lived in the ruff parts of town. I've even asked men that I've known why do they do this? they have the mind set of women like it. and the funny thing is I've seen lots of men get womens numbers by doing this lol so i guess they just think if she likes it. the next 1 will like to.

African american men are not even looked at,or paid any attention to if they arent thuggish,and aggressive towards women. They are labeled as soft,weak,lame or corny. That may be some of the reason as to why some feel like they have to be so aggressive when approaching women..

The saddest part about all of this is that I would witness the next woman respond to the calls, sometimes for the attention... or sometimes for fear of being demoralized in public. The Latter is a coward move; though I can understand.

Yes! This has happened to me on many occassion and, while I hate generalizing, all of my experiences have been with African-American Men. It is really degrading and very demoralizing.

As a teenager, I use to approached by adult Caribbean men and it would just freak me out! I was a child, obvviously so, and they just did not seem to care. When I would tell them I am 14 or 15, they would still persist until either my brother or father intervened.

I know all too well because as you probably know,I live in Philly as well so I can vouch for this negative behavior. On New Year's Eve,down Penn's Landing,I witnessed the same exact thing happen 2 a female that after respectfully telling a guy she was taken,she was called a Bitch. It bothers me because I'm close with my mother & I was raised to have respect for women the way you respect your mother,but evidently,there are many guys who weren't raised the same way.

When im out and about in the streets or at the mall,i always speek to the women over the age of 21.I say something simple like hello or how are you today.If they dont speek back,i take it to mean im taken or not in the mood for conversation lol.I can respect that, and i move on to the next women.The hate looks cute on you princess.
