It's not as bony as some freshwater fish can be. Some parts have more bones than other so you can't eat big chunks of meat and you must be careful but you get used to it. No need to grind it.

so do eels, sole,plaice,crabs,lobsters, and plenty of other fresh/sea fish. Carp are unfortunately totally delicious, Salt soaking the flesh intensifies the flavour. Dont think you have to flush out poisons or whatever....Also did you mean keep it in yr bath ALIVE?...LOL..very'L' I guess you could share. ..PS The guy saying about dont buy farmed carp...the same goes with Salmon especially....great chunks of fish fat...possibly good for cooking flavour but rank in a bit of smoked!

Whoever said you have to bath your carp overnight as theyre bottom feeders..they feed at all levels...The idea of putting a fish alive in a bath of is, a good idea if you fish .semi polluted waters.like in east Europe.
