my backup ski is a 440/650 and it was worth the effort, cost about 200 after i parted out the rest of the 650

kinda pricey to rebuild a vintage like that. Try (even renting) a superjet. I have a 2003 superjet which is 701cc w/ twin mik carbs stock. With just a riva intake grate & ride plate, and skat-trak impeller went about 50 max. then bored cyl's to 785cc, added riva cyl heads,Riva exhaust pipe, MSD ignition, drop nozzle, etc etc and it still tops out at 65-7mph, about equal to my WaveRaider1100(96'). i keep saying the vintge kaws, are gonna be collectors items. learned on a 550SX. lol (SX)

lexkos- yours does not hit 55. you wouldnt be able to stay on it at 55. the best racers back in the day could barely stay on at 52. your ignorant and dont know what your talking about

i have a similar ski, 440/750 with west coast pipe and water box. r&d intake, with a 44 mikuni. the only thing i would suggest is putting an x2 style exhaust on it, gets the exhaust out of your face. these old skis can really move if you do it right mine hits around 55mph.

@gageski101 have you ever ridden a JS hull? they are so much more fun than a nice and stable 750 hull. shit, my grandma rode a 750 hull cuz they are so stable. that much power in a JS is insane, and 10 times as fun.

Its a 82 with a 750ss motor, extended rider plate, peformance prop, modified exhaust and numerous other aftermarket-peformance parts. Used the cdi electronics out of the Kawasaki 750 ss hull.
