Simply not true what My0neManArmy is telling. First the government tries to start a system to block some pages but it was never implemented. No page and no comment is censored in germany, even illegal stuff is shown without any censorship. Simply not true what My0neManArmy is telling. First the government tries to start a system to block some pages but it was never implemented. No page and no comment is censored in germany, even illegal stuff is shown without any censorship. The only censoring which is very strikt is from the GEMA for example, but this is not a government part. It is a company which tries to protect copy rights...

Aber es ist keine staatliche zensur. die gema ist ein unternehmen die auch nur die von ihr zu schützende musik sperrt. man bekommt für das sogenannte raubkopieren keine härtere strafe! man bekommt eine strafe von bis zu 4 jahren waren das glaube ich, wenn man gewerbsmäßig und betrügerisch diese dinge verkauft. diese "propaganda" täuscht sehr. auch die hohen geldbußen die angedroht werden können ganz schnell mit einem anwalt (max. 50 €) erledigt werden.

Naja, soweit ich mich erinnere sind's glaub ich bis zu 5 Jahre aber da kann ich mich auch täuschen (will jetzt die §§ nicht raussuchen). Gleichzeitig habe ich von Fällen gehört, bei denen tödlich ausgegangene Alkoholfahrten wegen verminderter Schuldfähigkeit mit Bewährung "bestraft" wurden (ist ja jetzt nur mal ein Beispiel). Mir geht halt nur die Galle hoch wenn ich 10 mal am Tag "Dieses Video ist in deinem Land nicht verfügbar" sehe.

I think the point is that the people themselves would have a better say as to the parties (and so the countries) "stance" on economics, the Arab spring etc. Liquid feedback is an awesome idea if it were put into practise properly, true Athenian Democracy is the only Democracy IMO. There is this page called Schnittberichte. de . It showed what movies/games/etc are censored. Germany feared that they would loose some kind of authority when people would know how mutch they censore so they said it's bad for the "german youth". They had to shut down the site.
The owner of this site changed it to Schnittberichte. com and the servers and everything are now in Austria. In Austria this site is allowed and they can show us what Germany censores again.
