How is the world going to change for the better so fast! When the economy is soooo terrible and horrable today? I don't have a smartphone and I don't care to have one. Bwhahah its not hard to find a plumber in a phonebook!! I think people should read actual books than to have to read books on technology. I think people should actually write more themselves on paper than to have to use technology like Word!
I dont have any social networks other then youtube. postcards, person to person conversation, books, long hand (writing) all lost or on their way to extinction. it actually depressing to see how dependent we have become to this devices. How many of us are able to do anything without posting it somewhere?
Europeans better get their act together or the rest of the world is going to eat their lunch. It's not that you guys can't do it, it just that some of you, a lot of you, have gotten lazy.
And threading through all this is a slide in social anthropology towards unrepairable ignorance and selfishness, as many people start to speak to each other in shorter and shorter sentences, containing less emotion, meaning and imigery. This creates a numb zombie-like thread in how people interact with each other. Around me, at least half the young have never read a novel to the level they should at their age, they are missing out on the feeling of absorbtion and learning.
@sarumokidesu I agree. People are speaking less and less and having shorter conversations. I don't talk much but I have always been like that. It is almost like people are becoming Zombie like! That kids these days don't know how to actually go and play! That people just stand around on their cellphones! That more and more people text and drive which causes them to get into accidents etc..Its all rediculous!
@greatwhitenorth112 Yes! A fellow technophobe :) Actually, that's not strictly true as I love the internet BUT I too hate mobile phones - my family constantly criticise me for my 'life choice' - yeah my CHOICE to be contacted ONLY WHEN IT IS CONVENIENT!! I'm with you 100% :))
This video makes a lot of sense but I can't help but think it does not tell the whole story, so I have reposted and ht amd provided some further comment
@indalecio21 I respect that and actually you're totally correct. No need to be afraid. Our current system was set up to fail from the beginning. It's based on spending and backed by debt so it's only a matter of time.

An interesting slide show that highlights the problems that future generations will face. Education is the only solution.

@theweepingbeaver
There is not just one solution. While education may be a major part of it, it is not the only solution.
