  • R.I.P. Bill.

    We hardly knew ye.

  • "Don't kill good people" bill hicks. Damn you cancer why couldn't you take reagan.

  • im dying of laughter hahahhahahaa

  • "What are the fuckin' odds?" So fucking funny...love you Bill...

  • this is funny every damn time!

  • Thanks for the upload! He was a genius no doubt. Too bad not many realize it enough to appreciate him. All the good ones die young...RIP Bill.

  • @Turco949 So true. Why couldn't it have been Mencia? Or Adam Sandler or Rob Schneider, or someone else that wasn't actually funny? RIP Bill

  • EPIC

  • Is it me or does the chin strap and 'stache make him look more threatening than usual?

  • So this guy is an atheist who doesn't like kids. What was his purpose on the planet? Given that, anyone who is an atheist and does want to procreate. What is your purpose other than self gratification?

  • @truthfromtheword he wasn't an atheist. he believed in god, just not religion. i can't speak for Hicks, as far as what his purpose was, but i can tell you that there is more to life than ones faith and children. and every person's purpose is different. it's a common fallacy among religious people to think that man has no purpose if he doesn't believe in god.

  • @lacrymologyst That's very debatable. He MIGHT have believed in "God", but definitely not any of the monotheistic Gods. If he DID believed in god, it was loosely defined, or at least defined very personally to him, probably in context with his use of psychedelics.

  • @BillHicks420 i'm with ya on the "If he DID" part.

instead of saying he "believed in god", i should have just said he was a deist. but he certainly wasn't an atheist.

  • @lacrymologyst Well, that is IF he believed in a deity though. That part is still debatable. I remember reading one of his books, and this topic came up. It's debatable, even among his closest friends.

  • @BillHicks420 well i'm not basing it off anything his friends have said. i believe he wasn't an atheist based on things Hicks has said. sorry we disagree. you keep saying it's debatable. isn't everything? doesn't mean i'm wrong. maybe if i get the time, i'll edit and upload a montage of Hicks clips that would make the case he wasn't an atheist.

  • @lacrymologyst Debatable meaning there are arguments for both sides. Well, I don't know if looking at his material is a good indicator though. I mean comedians say a lot of stuff they don't genuinely believe in, to create humor and get a laugh. Otherwise, all comics with racists jokes would be racists etc, you know what I mean? Yeah I base it off his biographies, comments made by his closest friends during the last few months of his life.

  • @BillHicks420 so i walked away with the impression he wasn't an atheist, based on what i've seen. you've walked away with the impression he might have been an atheist. we're obviously both big Hicks fans, and have probably pulled our conclusions from similar information. and since he's dead, we'll never really know for sure. so we'll have to agree to disagree.

  • @lacrymologyst I haven't made up my mind though. Like I said, all options are still up for discussion. Him being a free thinker, I'd like to imagine he's an atheist, but we'll never know for sure! I recommend the written books on him, Bill Hicks Agent of Evolution, written by Kevin Booth and Michael Bertin, and American Scream The Bill Hicks Story, by Cynthia True. No matter what his personal outlook on god was,his message will forever be true, and inspire generations to come

  • @lacrymologyst I think a person can look at it from a secular point of view as well. If we are just animals walking around, eating, sleeping, and screwing, then what is the point of us being cognitive of our existence beyond just being animals? Having children is a natural phenomena that fits nature's order. When I read Ben Franklin's autobiography it makes sense. Posterity is all you have once you are gone from Earth. It is nice to give them some pointers on how to live a good life.

  • @truthfromtheword maybe there is no point. maybe we're just here to make the most of our life and our experiences. and some people don't require religion or kids to feel they've lived a good life. if those things are what makes your life meaningful, then great. but like i said before, everyone's purpose is different. and just because you can't understand the purpose of someone like Hicks, doesn't mean he didn't feel he had a purpose.

  • @lacrymologyst ''it's a common fallacy among religious people to think that man has no purpose if he doesn't believe in god.''

Point A (absence of sentence before abiogenesis) to Point A (absence of sentience upon extinction). Remind me what the purpose of life is again. Oh yes. It's my responsibility to imagine Sisyphus happy.

  • @truthfromtheword I disagree with plenty that he says; he's just really hilarious. I don't have to think he's right to think he's funny, man.

  • @truthfromtheword Who are you to judge the purpose of others if they don't believe in your made up invisible man in the sky?

  • All raise for the second coming....miss you Bill xx

  • Socks are only good for feet and skeet.

  • You know whats annoying ...

People who watch the video and go," Well actually, blah blah trolling blah blah troll"

Instead of saying something that kills the mood, think about it and leave it at that.

  • HELLO POOPEH!!!

  • I"I have wiped entire civilizations off my chest with a gray gym sock. Entire nations have encrusted in the hair around my navel."

    Fucking genius.

  • what makes this awesome even more is that he here looks like one of those old school computer/atari game programmers who dropped out of college and worked out of a garage in the mid 70s who also snapped.

  • LMFAO

  • I've heard this routine countless times on an audio file. Seeing him actually perform it makes it even more hilarious! Also, I love the "Gidea" reference. I'm guessing you were lucky enough to actually attend this, OP [lacrymologyst]?

  • @Weewokk i wish. i didn't discover Hicks until long after he was dead. and i can't remember where i found this video.

  • @lacrymologyst Same here. Well, thanks for the upload anyway, it's a great one!

  • @Weewokk what's Gidea?

  • @DanieLatzanich It's a reference to another one of his jokes about the Gideon Bible, and how it's in every hotel room in the USA but he's never seen it being placed there. Search for it on YouTube, I'm sure you'll be able to find the joke.

  • @Weewokk thanks I get it now!

This is just the best bit I swear.

    So perfect.

  • @SvetelnyLuc great pose (and great speech) to end his final(?) performance with...

  • he was a fucking genius

  • actually each sperm is unique there is billions of billions of different combinations that go into each child, learn biology dumbass..

  • @lukemich12 Have we succeeded? We think so. Before long we shall have covered with our narratives an enormous period of time; between the "Comtesse de Salisbury' and the "Comte de Monte Christo" five centuries and a half are compresed. Well, we assert that we have taught France as much history about those five centuries and a half as any historian. This passage is from The Companions of Jehu which was written by Alexandre Dumas pere.

  • @uriahheep108 wtf r u talking about?

  • Imagine a conversation between Tyler Durden and Bill Hicks.

  • I'm getting sea sick watching this. Who hired the camera guy, the guy who discovered Parkinson's disease?

His Genius is worth the nausea. "with a grey gym sock!" Fucking Epic.

  • @photolitherland Ya fox news is the only news source that is biased and ignorant.

  • who's the camera man here? michael J fox?

  • Wasn't this on David Letterman too? He's wearing the same suit jacket and dockers.

  • Only read a couple responses, between kenfo0 and funnytard or something. Anyhow, my worthless 2 cents is, love or hate him, your hard pressed to disprove one fact, and that is Bill Hicks was a visionary who did remarkable things for comedy. Anyone remember Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Redd Fox, George Carlin. I didn't like the 'normal' material a couple of them used. Regardless of my dislike, I'd be a FOOL to say that because I don't find them funny that they are no good.

  • @mjt1877 you're preaching to the choir. it's just @kenfo0 who isn't capable of understanding this. but he's not that bright, so i'm told.

  • He was the best

  • what were hick's kids names again? oh, that's right, he didn't have any. so what we have is simply another "if yer knot mee then yer dumm" bit. *YAAAAAAAWN*.

  • @kenfo0 are you implying that if Hicks had children, then it would have been a funny bit? or are you just trashing it to be "that guy". if so... YAAAAAAWN!!!

  • @lacr LOL. So by copying me, you think you are bright? No, you are a bore. I didn't "imply" anything. I stated fact. All of hicks' "comedy" is exactly the same: "if ewe aint uh leftist, druggie, smokur an selfish twat, yer uh dummy an itz funnie". He even DRESSES the part, with his faggoty hippie mullet and round specs. He was no "innovator". he was a whiny, self-absorbed asshole. Nothing more. My point was CRYSTAL clear, but I forgot there are idiots like you who need spoon feeding...

  • @kenfo0 so.. you're just being "that guy" then. that's what i suspected.

  • @lacrymologyst so...you're the guy with no argument who can't read. that's what I knew from your first response.

  • @kenfo0 you're the guy who leaves negative comments on videos, then wonders why people don't like you.

it's fine if you don't like hicks, or don't find him funny. but it doesn't change the fact that lots of people do like him. he's not as popular as he is for being as bad as you think he is.

being "that dude", trashing hicks so hicks fans will argue with you... if that's what makes you feel special, tough, whatever... have at it. but you'll be doing it elsewhere from now on.

  • Excuse my friend kenfo0, he’s been trolling on the internet for years now, so he’s had plenty of practice. Although he’s a bitter xenophobic and homophobic man with an abrasive personality, he’s mostly harmless. He’s like the village idiot of Youtube. It’s best to ignore him and he’ll either get bored and go away or become frustrated and make more of a fool of himself.

Beware poor spelling, punctuation and grammar are his favorite foods.

Check his comment history or Google his name.

  • @kenfo0 why the hell are you watching videos of Bill Hicks, then?

  • @funnyguise finally, someone asks a relevant question! You DO realize you are the only one. I applaud the fact that you can step outside nonsensical dogma and ask a question. Asking an honest question is the foundation of knowledge. I have watched a bunch of his material because I like comedy. Believe it or not, I am funny when I choose to be. I read all kinds of praise of this guy, yet I've watched a LOT of his bits, and see nothing funny. You wouldn't BELIEVE the response I've gotten...

  • @kenfo0 I do believe it. It's kind of like the sports thing where people get all personal about "their" team. I do like Hicks and find him funny even though he does go a bit further to the left than I like (I'm a libertarian Ron Paul fan from Canada living in S.Korea).

  • @funnyguise

i love the way folks put themselves in boxes via religion, country and political views. Thats the kind of folks the governments like as that mentality is easy to controll.

  • Respond to this video... One of the attractions to Bill is how honest he was long before any others (ie, Carlin, Leary et al.) on political and social issues. And because he's still not REALLY popular, people feel like they have some ownership because they 'discovered' and 'relate to' him.

  • @fu ...the response is that of "true believers"...a bizarre, angry cult-like response. "if you don't like bill hicks it's because you're STUPID or don't "get it"". There is hate in the responses, and it makes perfect sense to me. Hicks' "humor" is simplistic, selfish, leftist dogma, nothing more. In one "joke" he praises Kennedy...you know, the guy who sent Spec Ops into VN? The guy who bought an election? The guy who brought the world to the nuke brink? NAH! It's those DAMNED REPUBLICANS!

  • @kenfo0 are you seriously this boring? really? well at least you've revealed the true reason you don't like Hicks. his ideas/opinions offended you. now all your pointless flaming makes sense.

since you took it upon yourself to be the one to rally against Hicks' legendary cult like status, i'm here to tell ya, you failed miserably. you can't convince people to not like something they like, instead you just come off like an asshole. doesn't really help your cause much.

  • @HalloFusilli Then show us some of your brilliant ideas man. Talk shit, fine, but back it up.

  • @joshgreen19 I'm not merely talking shit. You would probably realize this if you lived a much fuller Life of Mind. I don't have to reveal some brilliant ideas in order to confirm the non-stop flow of regurgitated banality from Hicks. Alot of these infatuated Hicks fans really need to wake up from their naive fantasy world where Hicks is a such a special thinker and enter the real-world where Hicks, properly place on the thinker spectrum, is a mediocrity.

  • @HalloFusilli How many different laws are in place and defended because "think of the children"? It's a banal idea. Yet our society wholly ignores it and props children up on a pedestal as special. Even at an individual level, how many parents spoil their children and refuse to step back and take an unbiased view of their child? That's the genius of Hicks. He pointed out obvious truths that our society ignores.

  • @ZeroRed78 Why would you not view children as special. The young are, in a sense, merely life itself in the abstract. They are, for the most part, the good in man. Their lack of useless pessimistic nihilism, their unbridled curiosity, their fervor/joy for life, among other things constitutes their specialness. These things are what we are trying to keep safe for they are often lost.

This is very different from the shallowness Hicks was spiting out. He probably only meant

  • @ZeroRed78 those people who delusionally see their own children as so very special. But the thing is, most ppl aren't so delusional. The specialness which they see is merely a love for the child. For most ppl this specialness is just sort of hoping for the best. Can you blame them? Most ppl realize limitations.

Hicks was probably just whining about mothers who go, "My little man is soooo special. He reads at such a high level. He's sooooo bright!".

    Most ppl aren't like this..

  • @kenfo0 you are a tard makin a comedy bit out to be more than it is. Bill HIcks was a visionary like George Carlin. people like you are the reason society is so screwed. do us all a favor and fall of the earth

  • @pyshojackel i second that... especially the tard part.

  • 2:33....SUPERMAN!!!!

  • I gotta say, I haven't laughed like this in a while. I'm actually crying 'cause this guy is so damn funny.

  • Because 1 in 200 million sperm connected. GEE what are the fuckin odds?

    lmao

  • Ahhhhh I miss him! We need more like him!

  • A tragic loss on so many levels

  • 16 people were told they were special, only to find out they're not.

  • I love him

  • @sor8an

I love him too...I miss him.

  • 16 people think that their kids are special.

  • I'm getting a little tired of hearing/seeing people say that they wish Bill was still alive so they can feel comfort in his ideas and beliefs. Now, I am a huge Bill fan, I love the man and what he stood for. But, just because he's dead dosnt give you the right to sit on your ass and complain about the things he's not complaining about anymore. You know what I mean? If you believe, respect, and miss him and his idea's. Carry the fucking torch yourself and form your own view and opinions to share

  • @vizions89 I try to. I always do my best. However, i still wish Bill were still here. When you'd see him, it would be enouraging that there are men out there like him. But, without Bill, at times, it seems like you're here alone. There's no light at the end of this bloody tunnel.

Bill was our Light, and it's a shame he isn't here to see it.

  • he came on stage, in 3 min he made everyone love their kids a little less, then he left the stage - only bill hicks.

  • Jeezus, who's holding the camera, Katharine Hepburn?

  • @Tuberman67 why, did she suffer from parkinsons?

  • I wish he was still here, he'd have so much to talk about. Plus quite a lot to get angry about too, i'd love to hear his views on Reality tv bullshit like american idol and big brother, the war in Iraq and maybe even the London riots.

    I miss you Bill.

  • I've tossed universes in my underpaints while napping.

  • everything's special

each thing might not be as interesting as we might want it to be, or say that it is, but it's still special

  • @macdaddylorenzo if everything is special, would it really be special?

  • @grigstori I understand your point, I think it all depends on perspective. If you search enough, you'll always find someone who thinks you're special, in one way or another..

  • The parents that took their Children to see Bill Hicks are definitely the RIGHT kind of parents.

  • He was dying when he did this show.

  • *Sniff* We need this guy back, screw Michael Jackson's death. Bill's was a REAL tragedy.

  • I wish there were whole civilizations made from Bill's Sperm.

  • Fuck I wish Bill was still around

  • I've tossed universes in my underpants... while napping! ;D

  • @mimmozzable what's great about that is the heroic stance he does afterwards. LOL.

  • Isn't this a rip from George Carlin's sig?

  • @RodinaZovet no

  • @RodinaZovet no

  • neither are you Bill....anymore

  • @Sjaakdevries1 You`re right. He isn`t special... anymore. Your words. I guess wee both know he was special when he was alive, but unfortunately he is no more.

  • I loved George Carlins during one of his later performances. It wasn't the same act, but had the same concept.

  • what is for breakfast by the way

  • Burst out laughing at "...grey gym sock" rahahaha

  • I still miss Bill

  • bl blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa bladie bla

  • 1:19 lol

  • This makes me think, I mean if we have 200 million sperm and one was joined to 200 million different girls eggs, does that literally mean there would be 200 million more people born if the impregnation worked? Holy Shit!

  • @AaronBaker12345 How many babies do you think can fit in one uterus? women with triplets can barely stand...

  • @AaronBaker12345 No because girls only have ten eggs in their uterus at one time

  • You are truly successful when people copy you. The fact that his jokes are still relevant today is either strangely prophetic, or it means we haven't moved forward as a society at all for the last 30 years.

  • this was his last performance. he knew he was dying.

god bless you bill. i wish with all my heart that you were still around .

  • A+ comedy right there!

  • We need that grey gym sock and genetically engineer him some children.

  • @luclfersangel616 lmfao!!! in all seriousness ... that is a good point

  • that's one lucky motherfucker who got to not only see this performance live, but film it on camera to share with everyone else.

  • "ENTIRE NATIONS HAVE FLAKED AND CRUSTED IN THE HAIR AROUND MY NAVEL.." Fucking Brilliant.

  • @lifesucksdie123 @lacrymologist

I'm about 80 percent sure it's off a special he recorded in '93

  • Genius. A truth sayer the likes we, as in humanity, haven't seen in decades.

  • Remembered forever.

  • Miss ya Bill

  • i wiill noe end every conversation withb "what's for fucking breakfast"

  • That is special!

  • The only reason people think their kids are special, biologically, is that without that emotional bond there's no reason to put up with their shit for eighteen years. Kids aren't miracles or anything special. (Although comedians are, in my opinion.)

  • @guygeoirgier Respect yourself and your brothers and sisters. We are all special. Think about it.

  • People who try to decide whether Bill Hicks or Geroge Carlin is better than the other. Fools, all of them.

  • @tylerlove78 - Greatest of all time? #1 Bill and #1 George are eleven . . . 1+1 = 11

  • @tylerlove78

    i agree they're both fantastic

  • damn his splooge gets to his chest? mine only makes it to my lower abdomen these days, maybe a little beyond the belly button but that's it folks :)

    :(

  • @unfortunatebeam I dont shoot mine on my body, I just let that shit fly across the room

  • if you rut you will produce.

  • kids are not special or a miracle. its biology.

  • I love the pose he does at the end. Bill Hicks is better than Superman.

  • Bills hicks is hilarious and Dennis Leary is a Thief!

  • OMGOMGOMG!!! I CANNOT STOP LAUGHING when he's telling about how he is special by conquering the universe and pointed and say that is special!!! AHAHHAAHHAHAAHA!!!!

  • At the end of the day, you're still the top sperm of your 'load'...so hey turns out we're all pretty damn special in at least one way!

  • RIP Bill

  • I am so bored when people start going on about how amazing their kids are. And if the photos come out, I'm likely to start getting violent. I DO NOT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YOUR BORING SPOILT CHILDREN...Here's an idea - try teaching them some fucking manners.

  • @matt301273 no that wouldnt make them special either., i dont care about kids. babies.. i just dont see what so special about them. they cease to be special when billions of ppl squeese them out of thier vaginas. they are just common. its not a miracle either. miracles are not meant to be common.. its not a miracle having kids. its biology.

  • Love Bill Hicks! Sadly, I didn't discover him til he was gone.

  • OH SHIT this is fucking hilarious hahaha, whats the name of this special? is it even a special? i wanna see the whole video

  • If you don't like this vid, you are a cunt.

  • whats for fuckin breakfast ?

  • "I have wiped entire civilizations off of my chest..with a gray gym sock.THAT is special!"

  • this is fucking hilarious. i think i found a formula i really dig. SMART COMEDIANS WHO MAKE ME LAUGH. Bill Hicks you are a genius dude.

  • i am now a die hard bill hicks fan now

  • Love you Bill

  • Bill really was the best.

    I know, I know.

    But, he was.

  • Wasn't this his last show?

  • If PARENTING is your goal - and not a selfish orgasm - then there are thousands of children in need FFS!

  • Pryor, Carlin, Hicks!

  • @LiBlub1 Pryor sucked.

  • @jambi999 Your mom sucked more.

  • @jambi999 what the fuck? that doesn't sound right.

  • miss you bill

  • There really are times when I wish this guy was still around. Took me so long to get over hearing about his death.

  • He basically points out the hypocrisy and stupidity behind what we are told to believe and to say as part of being an upstanding socially acceptable person. It's a whole heap of bull, if everyone stopped getting so offended about every little thing we could all say whatever the f**k we're thinking and the world would be a better place. Remember, sweeping it under the carpet just makes it worse in the long run... it doesn't make a problem go away, people still believe what they're thinking!

  • Is that why you write f**k instead of fuck?

  • @breeeegs didn't realise I had done that, I will consider suicide immediately

  • with all due respect, i think that would be taking things a little too f***ing far

  • @breeeegs well I suppose you're fucking right, what would I do without you to help me?

  • take it easy friend

  • 6 people think they're special..

  • Comment removed

  • @inbetweentics norton was on the bob saget roast, and he told a joke that i thought sounded a lot like a Hicks bit. so, i wouldn't be surprised by what you said about this joke, too.
