I've been having this problem where my xbox fully turns on, but the only thing that shows up on the screen is it's serial number, and it says "waiting for drive - mode flashing". Afterwards it will say "please insert cid - flashing mode". I haven't dropped it or anything, it's barely been moved at all and I handle it very gently if I shift it so it won't bang around.
