omg, it finally hit me who Tyler's voice sounds like during live/acoustic settings, Weird Al lol. No harshness intended, I absolutely love this band but I'm sorry his voice at times isn't as top notch when he's not in studio.

I agree, he uses too much vocal processing in his recordings and his voice isn't really "gruff" its rather smooth. Also, he was really boring in concert.
