  • I love her! Seeing her at Sydney Opera House this Saturday. This is one of the best interviews I've seen with any musician. Love the way it just goes all over the place, and she's allowed to express herself in full. You wish the interview would go on longer.

  • fantastic! great interview. if only more music and interviews with FEMALE ARTISTS had this much integrity respect and Talent on both sides. cheers to all. xx

  • I like where she said likes to make people feel elated. I get so much elation from her music. I love her music like i love elation.

  • "for the little wee ones" I replayed her saying that like 10 times, lol. so cute.

  • I can see how she was a school teacher before this.

  • she is. She's so genuine and sincere. Just a free spirit, lights up the room, has a carefree aura/personality. How could you not want to be around her?

  • Daniel is Present.........

  • indeed. She is so beautiful in & out. Don't tell my wife that ;)

  • I want to marry her and i'm gay.

  • @The8thTree oh wow hah. ive never heard a gay guy say that!

  • @The8thTree Same here!

  • beautiful interview and ambient!

  • scareleh for that interviewer!!

  • Would love to see Donal interview Laura Marling...

  • I agree Mike I feel like at least in the US each generation is less and less capable of being... people. For instance, I can't see any of our talented young musicians sitting down and having these conversations like this one (or the similar Lisa Hannigan electric picnic interview). They're too full of... bullshit?

  • One of the best interviews I have ever watched. She is amazing.

  • I wish I was her kid..She would be a great mom..

  • wow

  • I feel the same way about her

  • There's something so desirable about her. Her sincerity, integrity, humility, hope, compassion, her self-knowing.. She's just so human and has all of the beautiful personality traits that a lot of girls tend to lack because of their own sense of insecurity and disillusion.

She's the sort of girl I could talk and relate to about anything, for hours and days and years.

To top it all off she's an amazing, uncompromising artist and completely and uniquely beautiful. Infatuating.

  • @madmikejehuty i completely agree.

    such a rare, rare quality

  • @madmikejehuty You nailed it.

  • I have a black cat, and hes a vicious little thing. I love him!

  • i like it, because it's just a conversation.. flowing topics that all relate to each other rather than a set of questions that jump from one to the next without consideration of the answer. really unique, and beautiful.. just like natasha

  • you said that perfectly

  • I liked the interviewer a lot. He was really nice and not pushy at all.

  • @musicispower25 he was so lovely, it didn't seem like he was interviewing her at all, just like they were two people sitting having tea and chatting with each other. and then you see idiots like letterman who are rude and pushy and condescending and awful to the poor person they're interviewing, like it's not enough pressure to be put on the spot already!

  • Oh my god I'm in love with this woman!

  • (continued) sing/write music by Nirvana/the grunge scene, I heard she liked them/was influenced, but didn't know it was like her main/first ispiration and that she eaven dressed herself in the kinderwhore style! Hehe that's so awesome, since that's exactly what's inspired me to learn guitar/attempt to write music. She's just amazing, I love her. :) <3

  • This woman is fucking amazing, an extremely talented, sincere and beautiful artist. I remember hearing about her on and off a while ago, I sort of brushed her off, thinking she'd just be 'another indie artist', but after hearing her Two Suns album properly, I've became practically obsessed with her, she's all I listen to at the moment haha. Because she really is one of the most uniquely brillant artists to arise the last decade. Now I can't believe to hear that she was first influenced to

  • Love her take on school we need to be more social and interact at early age open our minds, dreams,

    we are not robots lol

  • That Was An Excellant Iinterview, They Worked So Well Together, Like 2 Friends Havin a Cuppa and A Chat. lol. She Is Amazing.! :)

  • so cross she never came to picnic. what a shame.

  • so gutted she did'nt turn up this year, her voice was shoot apparently.

  • Wouldn't have thought I'd like him but that is a great non-sycophantic interview - Very relaxed all 'round.

  • What is creepy about him? I agree he's not the prettiest person ever but his personality isn't creepy?

  • wasn't planning on watching the whole thing, but she was captivating and spoke so well.

  • i love her, really. she's so sincere in everything she does

  • i was going to let this video load and finish watching it later, but i ended up watching the whole thing right now. she is spectacular.

  • i think i just fell in love

  • I'm straight female and I think I just fell in love. She's an inspiration!

  • What a BAD Interviewer!!!!!! Natasha on the other hand simply **Gorgeous**

  • he mightnt have all the razzle dazzle of an established tv presenter but he did a well rounded exploration of her as a person and we got to know her more than we would if she was being interviewed on pretty much any other show

  • I think someone slipped a few mushrooms into his tea...

  • lol. it really does seem like it.

  • you are a moron.

  • thank you God for sending to us a girl named Natasha Kahn

  • What a great interview

  • gaga looks so desperate for attention with her crazy outfits and her verbal diarreah, and her music wears out very quickly, it's repetitive and has not substance.

    Bat for lashes >>>>>>>Gaga.

  • I love her.

  • Although in the worst witch Mildred had a tabby cat but nevertheless I love Natasha! <3

  • what a great interview. who is this guy?

  • Natasha Khan is awesome.

  • Gaga is shit compared to Natasha Kahn she shouldnt even been mentioned in the same conversation as Natasha she's an innovative artist and gaga is fotter for the mindless masses who dont think about the music they listen to. There really is no comparison

  • exactly. natasha makes really interesting, innovative, and ethereal music that's not poppy or trying to reach as many people as she wants. it's more about the music for her than fame, seeing as that's all lady gaga is obsessed about.

i find it hard to believe that nobody else listening to her can see through her guise of being warholic and/or postmodern. lady gaga wants to be seen as "quirky and weird" because she KNOWS that's what people like. natasha just naturally is intriguing.

  • well said!

  • Gaga is not andy warhol-ic or postmodern.

Her fashion style might, but not her music.

  • gawd somebody shoot that guy

  • ? what

  • That was great.

  • i love natasha!!! :D

  • see, natasha is not famous.

    lady gaga is.

i have a problem with that.

  • i cant see that she copies björk. i mean .. can you maybe tell me some similars?

  • gaga is manufactured, fake, pretentious, and uncaring.

and how is natasha boring? she's so interesting and not like "SEE GUYS I HAVE TEACUPS CAN I BE COOL AND 'WEIRD' NOW??" like gaga is. everything she does is for more attention, you do know that right?

even down to her comment about being "bisexual". i mean, really? no you're not. you're just a slut who'll take whatever you'll get.

  • gaga wasnt manufactured............... do your research

  • Dude. Gaga has got the WORST VOICE EVER!!!

I heard her on Radio 1 and it was pitiful..

  • words that are heaven for me - its amazing that there are more people who think like that

  • Yep, me too. it can be a topsy turvey souless world sometimes.

  • @RasputinaMan

i think that's exactly how she likes it, her music is on the personal level, she's not afraid to speak her true mind about serious things like edu"macation" and life in general, but then giggle about it a few seconds later! : ) Lady Gaga shouldnt be mentioned in the same sentence as Natasha, her words could turn gaga's soul to ashes.

  • i lurve black cats too.

  • i too lurve black cats.

  • What's wrong with the colour of his nails?

See at 5:22 , don't tell it is trendy for a guy to paint his nails..

  • just shut up nobody cares about that! grow up man

  • She is so beautiful, inside and out. She is so unique and seems really genuine and sweet.

  • ..So refreshing to see someone so down to earth and humble...A very inspiring lady.

  • Classy and ethereal all at once! God you are such a heart stealer Natasha Khan.

  • this is a really good interview, even if your not trying to find out about her.

  • cant wait to see this BRIGHTON BABE at summerset house july we are all proud of her in brighton X

  • Wow, i was hooked all the way through! Wasnt expecting to be.

    I'm in love.....

  • Damn, I frickin love her. Even if she never made music, it is soo necessary for her to exist.

  • Just chill to beat illness, that is so true, dis-ease a body not at ease...

  • fit

  • God she is so down 2 earth. I would want to kiss her if i was as close as he is. Right on that cute lil' nose! You go, Bat!

  • What's the name of the composer she mentions at 18:10?

  • gorecki ; )

  • ( *V* )

  • Haha The Worst Witch, I was thinking just that and then she said it!! God, Im in love...

And the interviewers alright, I'd rather have him than the interviewers who just want to ask things like "So you've got a new album out," etc. Its nice to see an interview where they just have an interesting conversation

  • I know right? He's trying way too hard to be deep and likable, but Natasha is so lovely as usual <3

  • what a lovely lovely nice girl, but lets face it, that guy is an annoying arse, cmon you're all thinking the same!!

  • ahaha this interviewer is such a wank

she's a real sweetie though, she has such a nice air about her :)

  • he so fancied her

  • Who wouldn't?!!!!!

  • Good interview. It was cool to hear her in more of a conversation than a formal interview.

  • no!! thats means i cant marry her

  • exactly!!! uh wait...... this could pose a problem

  • i've never seen someone so calm, relaxed and composed and articulate - IN EVERY INTERVIEW. I'm loving her and Bat For Lashes - seriously.

  • beautiful

  • kate bush!

  • i think hes very good actually, hes actually listening to her rather than thinking about the next question. she couldnt have gone into such depth about herself if he hadnt asked the right questions.

  • well said. they did well together. very good interview!

  • Loved this interview. Wasn't boring for a 20+ minute interview, kept me completely intrigued. I love her.

  • She really touches my heart......such a genuine person. A kindred spirit !

  • Yeahhh totally fantastic girl I love her music..All coments here about her are really cool...lol

  • God she is sooooooooooooo gorgeous

  • this is amazing 20 minutes of just Natasha

  • i think her music is dark, but i find it amazingly beautiful. like sad eyes, it is so beautiful. she makes such lovely music, and she is such an interesting person.

  • Shes just AMIZZZING

  • I'm sorry but the interviewer is completely atrocious.

Thankfully Natasha is interesting enough to make this watchable.

  • Agreed... I haven't yet reached the end, but so far every time he speaks he seems to try to steer the conversation too much (and talk too much) as opposed to interviewing and focusing on her. It's a bit awkward because of him.

  • this is a very very good interview, I thought he was being a bit too chatty and deep but really, we're hearing what she thinks on some really interesting things, and we see her character more!!! i can't stand bad interviews, "are you enjoying the festival?" "I hear you have a knew album...." "what are your influences... " etc I enjoyed this so much

  • aww i love her! she's so softly spoken, it makes you stop and listen.

  • i got to meet her at the koko show she mentioned, shes one of the nicest people i have ever met!

  • Gawd! She is sooooo gorgeous!! Sooo cute and sooo sexy. *sigh*

  • she likes good movies. sweeeet.

  • i love here, in the purest meaning of the word.

  • im so jealous of this guy right now

  • Damn! Why cant we Americans have more singers and more interesting interview like that! Over on this side of the pond the indie, rock, folk or what have you is so tepid. Thank god for my Irish and English friends who introduced me to this music and culture!

  • Natasha is so freaking hot

  • she squished my arm and thanked me for thanking her for her music!!!!

  • she's just so lovely. :)

  • she has a cool vibe

  • Seems like a really cool, real, person. Refreshing.

So tired of the typical strung out junky, self absorbed, supa star, assholes that get shoved down our throats on radio, TV, magazines.

  • wow!

a shes a really nice girl and an amazing singer.

loving fur & gold and cant wait for the new album!

  • ....Joni Mitchell....

  • She is inspired by goonies and karate kid? Damnit, I need to move to britain now and marry her then, but I hate baked beans :(

  • Haha, the end was so cute! Overall, this interview was quite interesting. I learned a lot. Thanks for this.

  • beautiful

  • Ok, last comment.. I'm just amzed! She's clever, natural and funny ;)

She's the perfect friend ;) And I love her views on art and music and stuff.

    Go Natasha !

  • It's long and the questions are cool and the background rocks!

    Yummyyy !!!
