Hi there, I think the reason why it goes soggy is because we are using really low fat products which contain lots of water, I have tried leaving in the oven longer to cool down but it does still leech out. The only good thing is that it tastes so good it doesnt hang around very long but no I havent found anything which is low in syns that can be substituted.
Hiya! Great video! This looks delish and I can't wait to try it. Just wondering if you've found an alternative base as I have tried the scan bran one before. Mine came out quite soggy. Maybe there's a way to keep it from going soggy??
Hi there, great substitutes here!! Just one question, can you use any flavour muller lights? Like in order to make a different flavoured cheesecake? Or is it safer to just do the vanilla/vanilla with chocolate?
@gchris2010 Yes you can use other flavours. I have tried it with the toffee, strawberry and even the New York Cheesecake mullerlights. They are all okay so just enjoy.
@gchris2010 It has the texture of a cheesecake and taste but of course it doesnt taste as creamy as a traditional cheesecake because you havent used a full fat cream cheese. This way y ou can have your cheesecake and eat it! Try it I guarantee you wont feel guilty eating this and you can even go back and have another slice.
@chipmonk0609 Well thank you so much for your help, I have been looking for a good low fat cheesecake recipe for ages now as I'm a dance student and want to discipline my eating habits and watch the intake of fat and sugar. It's good to see you want to help people enjoy what they eat without feeling guilty, I have bought the ingredients and will make it this weekend :)
Would it be possible for you to list each of the ingredients and quantities please as it can be hard to catch it when your listing them, my speakers aren't very good lol.
Hi Naomi, the base starts off crispy but after cooking cheesecake then cooling down, because of the low fat products the cheesecake does ooze liquid which makes the base soft. It tastes oka, am trying to work out another base. Hope this helps
Its 1.5 syns per portion if cut into 12 portions.
