I know why its sped up. He had nosync enabled in his fraps.. this is also why the sound isnt timed with the video - it takes out the lag but makes it faster

played it with all maxed out, anyway, the problem its not the system you could use, the optimization of the game is horrible

I know this is old but I assume the slow down comes from the fluid physics and such. Which don't run on a ATI GPU. Even The open source ati drivers doesn't even have full Physx GPU support. The game runs perfectly fine on my 9800GTX+. I think you need to get a new video card ^^.
