Na enige tijd zoeken tussen de lp's in de Kringloop in Emmeloord vond ik uiteindelijk de LP, die ik al enige tijd zocht met dit fantastische nummer Worn down Piano. I finally found my piano from The Mark & Clarck Band.
I saw these guys with Charlie Prose in Lakeland about a year ago. They were as funny and energetic as ever. Jaw-dropping performance. Hope to catch them again soon.
I saw these guys at the Hampton Beach Casino in New Hampshire about 1977. Great show!!! Bought and wore out their Double Take album. This brings back some great memories, thanks!
@vrijbuiter40 I am a huge chord junky myself. Heard this for the first time yesterday, had to go up to the bartender and ASK who it was, etc. I cannot download it, but can manage to at least listen and possibly buy the LP. I'm a big fan of ELO and Backhouse Mike. Look them up - (I'm sure you have heard of ELO) but Backhouse Mike produces music for many venues including Drake Bell and he's an ELO fan so it influences his music. THAT EXACT part you love, I love. YAY for us chord junkies.
Mark and Clark are very gratefull for the response to their music here in the Netherlands. I have been their friend and tour manager since 1974 and they are still performing all over the U.S.A.
We have noticed a New Interest in the Band in the last few years and are now seeking out a concert promoter to contact us and set up a tour this spring and summer. If any experienced promoters are interested in this venture please contact Steven Mairano at wattaguy42@hotmail.com
@wattaguy44 I think they're great and I listen to worn down piano often. Very odly I often think of my grandmother when listening to the piano music, she was a hell of a piano player herself. I don't know if she ever heard this though.
I am still very good friends with Mark and Clark and they still play Piano like they did in the 70s except better because they have had more practice . LOL.
They are also under the name Carnegie, here on Youtube if you would like to hear another of their hit song's
heel nederland zoekt dit nummer nu op ;)

Frits Spits heeft me gek gemaakt van deze plaat. hij heeft ze 100 keren gedraaid in de Avondspits, ik heb ze 1000 keren gedraaid.

Beautiful chords in the instrumental part!!!
And the same chords appear in the part "Oh the days long ago when the crowds came around"
