ok i messed up on my first at part 3 or so then tried for attempt number 2 i flew through that part up to like part 5 ish then got mind fucked. and basically i finished its all white i used printing paper. ( BTW use REAL origami paper) um if you are an angry person dont do this you might kill something... and make sure you have alot of time i started at like 2:00am. lol and now its 4:00am.. great was it worth it? i have no clue... maybe ill color it...
Hey, great vid! Got it on my first try! Im not a complete novice, but its all good. I'm gonna check the zergling next. You should totally do a protoss unit of some kind, like... a dark templar!
alright ! one unit completed ! all i have left is 7 more to beat my brother's origami army :D he folded a siege tank so if u could make a mutalisk i could pwn him :D
very nice tutorials ! easy to follow yet perhaps you'd want to talk a bit louder..(did he say chouder?) no i ment louder !
I've finally made it after the second attempt :). I tried to do it yesterday but i choose some bad paper and at the final steps it started to fall appart so today I took an ordinary paper from my printer and it worked perfectly although I had to take care with the folds a lil bit more. This is my hardest origami so far and i think the next challenge will be the ancient dragon. :)))
You are genius.....:)....my hydralisk looks like after marines rape party:D...but you did exelent work:) For idiots like me maybeee just softer light and biger paper:)...
@axcho Thx for responces...i checked diagrams...devart yupy ya yey i like DA :D....Diagrams are exelent:) i try it remake with folow diagrams:) I was never fan of origamy but your works are totaly awesome:)
@Mishai87 Hey, great! I want to hear how it goes with those diagrams - let me know if they help at all. Probably best way would be to watch video and follow the diagrams at the same time.
Glad I could get you to enjoy some origami with my Starcraft models. ;)
I made the Hydralisk successfully this time! It's a little bit deformed, some of the parts of this one require a bit more precision than the Zergling.
I've found out the reason why Step 11 was so painful before. If your folds up to that point haven't been 100% perfect, Step 11 punishes you severely. A lot of different things don't line up right if you didn't get your folds spot-on before then. The video shows what it SHOULD be doing, so it makes it easier to see where you folded wrongly.
@General4nubis Ah, wow that is a very good point, which I totally overlooked. Yes, if you mess up the folds before Step 11, you will not be able to do Step 11. Even in this video, it's not perfect, and it made things a little messier, a little more difficult for me. That would explain it.
Well I'm glad this video finally helps clear that up. I'm sure the explanations helps too though. :)
I have haven't tried it yet, (definitely will when I get home) but is it possible to sort of pull out the back of the head/back section (the central diamond-ish shaped area) so that it pops out and fills in the body a bit?
I don't know if this is possible since I haven't gotten my hands on it to play with it and try out such a theory, but it would be really nice if you could, just so it doesn't look so hollow from behind.
I love these videos, thought about making a mutalisk?
@General4nubis Hmm, looks like it would be possible, though I wouldn't recommend it for the average folder. Probably a risky move, with a high probability of ripping the paper or otherwise disfiguring the model, which could be disheartening so late in the folding process...
You are more than welcome to experiment with it on your own though - I'm curious to see what you come up with! :)
I had so so so so so much fun doing this, had to zig-zag from the video to the diagrams but I've finished, yay! thank you

@lalalaimakid Heh, yeah, I'd put it at around high intermediate, mostly for Step 11.
