  • If you are looking for a funeral song, look no further than Tom Waits ' You can never hold back spring'. If that does'nt hit the spot try Joe Dolce 'Shaddappa yer face'.

  • can you buy this on itunes? i cant find it so im guessing that you cant.

  • its just like I am washed in the blood of the lamb, but its like a happier version.. crazy..

  • Thank you for downloading to begin with, but please re-download this as the audio is out of pace with the video.

  • If it hasn't already been said somewhere in the 6 pages of comments, AP Carter(June Carter's uncle) wrote the original lyrics.

  • This song is on the Chelsea Walls Soundtrack, which I listen to quite a bit.

  • Sorry, Amy.

  • Grandios....

  • Well, this isn't a Wilco original Gradey3 so Jeff Tweedy didn't write the lyrics...pick a better video to put down.

  • Can anyone tell me what brand and model of soundhole pickup Jeff is using in this video?

  • @KS6stringer it looks like a sunrise

  • @KS6stringer sunrise pickup

  • Excellent piano work!

  • Not if you listen to all their stuff...and it is their not there..

  • beautiful

  • This is just a great tune in C but starts on the Am to the Dm to the F to the C then those chords again in a little different order during the chorus. WG is not credited with this tune but A.P. Carter is but who knows who really wrote it.

  • this is pretty great, but i heart, heart, heart sally timm's version.

  • Same melody as Blood of the Lamb...

  • how good is this song!!!!! it is now my new funeral song!

  • @danica6

    Hi,

if you search a song for your burial, take "Townes van Zant's Catfish Song".

When The Roses bloom again is of full hope!!! and not for a burial suitable.

    God protects Wilco!!!

    Greetings from Germany

  • Vintage Gibson B-25

  • Great song - very good version too

  • 4Yeboah.

  • This is amazing. I remember watching 'man in the sand' and wondering why this amazing song in the soundtrack wasn't on either album.

  • What a great song! Did Wilco release this on any album that I could buy?

  • Chelsea Walls soundtrack there is an other song by wilco on there called promise as well. The rest the songs are jeff tweedy's and glens but just instrumental but a good album none the less.

  • Is that the same melody as "Blood of the Lamb"?

  • Good ear.

  • Why was it in the film and not on either Vol of Mermaid Ave.I heard what he said.

  • because woody didn't write the lyrics for this song

  • Wow what a great performance I miss Leroy Bach I though he was a great addition

  • Thanks, blindderek, I knew I owned it, was trying to figure out which disc.

  • I cannot find this song to download without purchasing the whole album. Has anyone found it? Most other artists had a different melody. Laura Cantrell is the only one I've found that uses the same tune.

  • i had heard this song on the great mermaid avenue documentary and it made me a wilco fan.

i hadnt heard that woody didnt write it though? i always wondered why it didnt make it onto the mermaid albums.

  • It's also on an Oxford american compilation cd

  • Thanks for posting this. It's one of my favorites from Wilco. Does anyone know where I can find this song?

  • Thank you... I've only heard this song on the "Man in the sand" movie and didn't know where else to find it. Nice.
