  • just over 200mph? :/ not much of a top speed if there are 2 rotor doing over 200mph in the 1/4 mile...

  • The first few seconds are in Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero

  • 0:00 - 0:06 i thought was gran turismo on replay.

  • Sweet that thing was on fire...

  • Subaru safety car =D

  • You tell me which engine could vormit flame like this one for 8sec

  • is this the speed run in NZ???

  • @timruddell125 Yes! But fuck knows why, our roads are shit.

  • The interesting thing is, that nobody else does that (rear fender covers) anymore. Also, why do they race it in the rain? Have you noticed how the windscreen wipers struggle when they move against the airflow?

  • Comment removed

  • This should run the one of the open road events in USA if it hasnt already.

  • the driver picked the weather. the driver want to drive on the wet condition to minimize the cars weight so it could reach more top speed. the driver know how it works

  • @lz7760 What? Explain how a car is faster in the rain please.

  • @miek127 because there is les friction on the tires

  • @wikedkewl I kinda get what ur saying..thinking of something free-rolling, yes less friction= more speed. But in a car, the wheels are drivin by force and will slip without traction right? And more areo downforce is usually used to gain more traction as speed increases...idk, it just doesn't make sense to me. Not saying you're wrong, just want a better explanation.

  • @lz7760 yeah, i Agree with miek127...youre an idiot.

  • sounds like his chocking :08-:14

  • THIS IS FROM 1999 ! NOT 2007 0R 2011 JESUS STFU (:

  • that was one big ass motherfuckin exhaust flame!!!

  • Wait, is that a ferrari bonnet? :S looks similar x)

  • ターボ付けといて何馬力とか何キロとかみっともない。

    出て当たり前

  • Sigh...I miss my rx-7.

  • Do you idiots even know why there's covers on the rear wheels?

  • @daitantamashii because he has steelys on the back, and hes embarrassed to show them off, so blatantly fucking obvious

  • @daitantamashii Youtube idiots care more about looks than aero and performance. At 200mph those wheel skirts are probably worth 10-20mph on the top speed due to decreased drag.

  • that shit is ugly tho

  • @84benfiquista the car is fine, but u're ugly

  • 1:02 '' hot damn i shit on yall i ment'' listen

  • 1:02 '' hot damn i shit on you'' listen

  • Ugliest looking rx7 ever!

  • @aliboi15135 pretty sure it was made to go fast, not look good........

  • @Yz250fSteve yup agreed .. kids now days.. they dont know nuts..

  • BMW M6 G-Power can go 372 but lock this car on 200 mph he will blown dddddd

  • @Boljev6 wow, dont compare 1999 years against 2007 years cars, dumbass

  • @Boljev6

go suck a dick inside your crappy overweight BMW

  • those wheel covers make it look like a great grandfather type of car.

  • hell yeah on the WANGAN!!!

  • nearly a 10 sec. backfire. sick!

  • money wasted =/

  • in the fucking rain?!?

  • @krazzyyo2 yes, the rain makes the car have more contact with the ground because the tires will touch it all the time even if they ´´balloon´´. i found it out while watching formula 1

  • HUGE BALLS AND 100% OF DRIVING SKILLS! JEEZ AWSOME VID! 5 STARS

  • i hate people saying mph its just a stupid conversion

  • Rear wheel tire covers may bee good for aerodynamics but damn they're ugly

  • can i get a translator?

  • SUPER SPORTZO COMPACTO CAR!!!!!!!!

  • these guys care less about the look, function over form the best way to go fast

  • wow, a nine second flame. impressive

  • @nomellocreampig not very

  • @nomellocreampig

lol dumbest comment on youtube i've ever seen

  • ILEGAL RACES!

  • great example of Japanese pro driving great upload

  • is this the 2 rotor?

  • Der vergewaltiger ^^

Eiji Yamada ... is still now fucking everything ^^

  • she she poo poo pi!

  • it doesnt matter if its damp. Japanese are pro

  • Thanks for posting. Please check out our newly updated channel, and subscribe

  • I Think they said in the first 15sec, you dirty bastered i saw you screwing my mother Im going to get you!

  • in the fucking damp? holy balls

  • does any1 realize that most of the vids..its always raining for sum reason.....kinda dangerous or does it work better in the rain...lol

  • @shlong07 looks like its mean to reduce drag???

  • hmmmm....maybe..but iisnt it like drag to push thru water and an extra road surface??...im jus sayin, lol

  • it's called, New Zealand!

  • I know this is an old comment to respond to, but having valves or ports doesn't matter, it's how many times the engine fires per rotation, and a rotary engine fires /three times/ for every full rotation of the 'crankshaft' (eccentric shaft) So it is completely different from a 4 stroke which makes power once for every four crankshaft rotations (fires much less often) or a two stroke which combines intake/compression, and power/exhaust into two rotations using side ports instead of valves. :)

  • well its actually 1 turn of the rotor the eccentric shaft spins 3 times, the piston engine has only done a 1/4 of the work when the rotor has completed a full round.

    but yep, well said!!! :D

  • 203mph? fucking hell that's insane!

  • Seems difficult to maintain the car strait...

  • yes i saw it : )

  • Scary!

  • Viper hood! I saw on of these on slae.

  • wang chong allalala

  • @lancelo96 It looks 10x as better as any other car in the world and would spank them all in performance. FUckface.

  • was this video shot in newzealand???

  • supposedly this car is still around and they take it on the wangan everynow and then for shits and giggles. it can probably beat alot of cars on there still lol

  • supradave9: You are right they only came with the twin rotor. And yes the 20B and the 26B are just transplanted into the RX7

  • i thought they came out with the 13b being a 1.3L 3 rotor?

  • the 13b is a 2 rotor

  • 787Bisurdaddy: You are right it sounds like a 2 rotor. And you are right about the different rear end the 4 rotor versions has what almost looks like a callaway corvette style rear end!

  • they didnt make 4 rotot rx-7's did they? i thot they only came with 2 rotors and the 3 and 4 rotors where transplants

  • on a wet road too, lol

  • Beautiful

  • very nice video

  • ROTARY POWER !

  • it's not old school, and they're propably not american either... the reason they covered the rear wheels, was to get a smaller aerodynamic drag.

  • this is the 1999 SCOOT RX-7...2 rotor here...if it was the 4 ROTOR one it would be MUCH louder

  • No, it doesn't. The exhaust note is clearly a 2-rotor and you can hear the turbo. Also, the Scoot 4-rotor has an entirely different rear end.

The 4-rotor car looks and sounds completely different.

  • japanese must think nascar is like racing a horse and buggy, theyre so far ahead of us but we arent paying attention. this is making the most of displacement

  • I couldn't agree more. Are you talking about the United States though? When the JGTC came to California and the raced on the speedway it was the best use of that track ever. Unfortunately their isn't a rotary in the GT500 class.

  • ok this one is fast

  • are you kidding me? SHow me better. Thats like 204mph

  • Thats just a few mph slower than an Enzo or Zonda.

  • 326 km/h are you kidding me the enzo does 350+ km/h and the enzo should be over there too. Don't get me wrong I love rotarys but hey 204 mp/h is not really a great achievement. 220 mp/h would be something to be proud of...

  • you still have to admit its impressive for a car you can drive on the street and you can afford lol

  • But this was back in 1999...

  • i think you should post a vid of YOU doing +204 mph? i mean surely you must be able to if your saying thats not impressive especially since the car can be bought with alot less hassle and money then an enzo

  • well put and your statement is well rounded all together atleast i didnt have a dumbass reply not a fan of the the gtr 35 though the body style isnt my cup of tea but performance wise well lets just say i see it breaking all kinds of records when mods really start geting serious for it in the next few years

  • the gtr has better acceleration from 0-100 than the f430... wich costs about twice the gtr? It beats the f430 and gallardo on the track and is not even in the same prize class it's even under the 911 turbo... so? With serious mods it will truely keep up with some sueprcars I believe

  • it has roughly 1300CC most cars doing 320+ have atleast double if not triple that.

  • and it also has a rotor engine in it... Thats quite different

  • I would pay just for a joy ride

  • wheel covers remind me of the old silkcut jaguar group C/imsa car

  • i'm not a huge fan of the rear wheel covers

  • They're ugly as sin, but aerodynamics seems to be the name of the game here.

  • reminds me of the old honda insight haha thats not a good thing though

  • Guys... they cover the wheels to allow better aerodynamics in the wheelwell. It lessens the air drag, which helps A LOT! It's amazing how much force pounds per square inch are multiplied against you just by wind drag at high speeds, and it gets worse as you go faster.

  • It must help to cover the wheels cuz the monstruous back spoiler doesn't help very much to reach more speed...

  • @KenFujiwara The Japanese are :D I'm not, though.

  • @KenFujiwara but in a car like this you need them.

  • TO @KenFujiwara wheel covers gave car more aerodynamics for top speed, but take longer to chaged the tires.

  • @KenFujiwara

me neither. only reason i can think of why. is for aerodynamics

  • @KenFujiwara I am. AERODYANMICS FTW

  • @KenFujiwara I couldn't agree more, but I'm figuring its on the basis of aerodynamics. The speeds that thing flies at would probably rip the rear bumper off without them.

  • @KenFujiwara ...functional...

  • @KenFujiwara ...functional... But yes, Goofy looking

  • @KenFujiwara

scoot makes the ugliest rear ends for rx7s for some reason

  • @KenFujiwara Its for aerodynamic purposes to reduce air turbulence around the rear wheels and decrease drag so it can reach high speeds much easier

  • HKS T51R turbo!!!

  • how fast is that mph?

  • 200 :)

  • Supa sportsah compacto cah.

  • horey she

  • it didnt sway. very comforting.

  • OMG! DAMN! I love rx7's never thought it can be tuned up to be thing great! I love it more!!! DAMN! Where can I get one of that!? LOL! Man the the Viper hood and the new body kit! Sweet!

  • any car can be tuned for anything , thats what tuning proves every day !

  • wats with the rear wheel cover yuk

    !!

  • more than likely to reduce drag, air flows easier and doesnt go into the wheel wells. but i agree. tacky as hell...

  • Very nice laying down 327 km/h from a 1.3!

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC this car is now privately owned and is metallic orange.

  • wiked car ... but who didnt laugh as soon as he spoke?

  • one of the best car ever built.

  • This is what We Call : Utimate Super Car

  • Sick, it hit about 203mph!!!

  • that looks like a ridge racer car

  • What do u guys mean by a 2 stroke , a rotary engine operates on a 4 stroke principle, there is intake, compression, combustion and exhaust.on the other hand, a 2 stroke combines all those 4 into one upstroke, and one downstroke ,making it a 2 stroke cycle.

  • a 4 stroke take 4 strokes up, down, up, down to complete a cycle or 2 rotations of the engine. where a rotary only takes one rotation of the engine to complete the cycle a lot like a 2 stroke engine.

  • This is the same place that the 1600hp skyline was filmed at and the same impreza

  • that is 203.37 MPH not bad for a 1.6 liter if I remember correctly.

  • its 1.3. but since its a rotory, its pretty much a 2 stroke engine. making it equal to about a 2.6 liter regular 4 stroke

  • its nowere near a 2stroke lol

  • your right, in my head it sounded right though. I meant to say that there is one combustion stroke per cylinder for every two rotations of the crankshaft in a typical engine as opposed to one combustion cycle for every rotation in a rotary engine. and i think i'm confusing myself because its late. fuck it, im out

  • i know what you mean i was being anoying ^^ sorry lol :P

  • wronge but correct logic..

    not 2 stroke

    totaly diffrent,

like compairing a car to a boat.

  • Well they both have ports instead of valves. They also have low compression. I think every 4 stroke I have seen has valves. Oil can be mixed with the fuel in some rotaries making them kinda like a two stroke dirt bike in which you put in 2 cycle oil. Also a rotary fires less often then a piston engine and a 2 stroke. So they are all unique. All good designs.

  • A rotary fires more often than a 4 cycle piston engine, and the same as a 2 cycle, one power stroke per crank/eccentric shaft rotation. from what I have seen a rotary of the same displacement as a 2 cycle piston engine makes more power.

  • anyone no were in NZ these roads are?

  • there in rotarua

  • thats jappers for yah

  • WTF is up with the back wheel covers

  • Less drag = More speed

  • i agree it does make it look bad thoo

  • its about functionality, not cosmetics

  • i c that side too but cmon its an rx-7 everything about it iz functionality.....

  • i love this car it is sooooo beautifull, i love the bodykit....... love the flames @ 1:43...smokin'

  • hey hey! At 1:09 it's my car on the left!

  • HAHAHAHAHA thats awesome man!!! roflmao!!

  • I should probably clarify, that's the same car I drive but it's not my car.

  • Quick but fucking ugly

  • lol they make them like that for a reasion

  • 1 bad thing : it gets hot fast !!
