  • 2:23 drunk broad: "how do you do that?" .... umm sing?

  • Apparently astronauts take Marty and the Glory Bound message into space!!! So sweet!

  • Man oh man - saw Martin back in 2004 up in Duluth, MN - I can't believe I've lost track of him this long. I've missed his sound! Still a class act with pure talent! Won't lose you again Martin!

  • absolutely incredible

  • This is what I call Music.

  • he makes it look so easy

  • Fantastic song.

  • After years and years of following Martin Sexton I just love his music more and more. But, In the Journey, is still the bestest most authentic and refreshing set I've ever heard!! Brings me to tears...breath taking! I remember about six years ago, standing in my parents kitchen, pealing apples for apple pie...listening to Martin and just totally feeling it...in the moment! I had my entire life in front of me...and Martin...Martin is still in it with me!!! --Nicole Skylis

  • 4"35 to 4"41 awsome bass sound, does someone knows on wich type of ampli he's playing ?

  • Met him after a concert last year and while everyone was shakin his hand I said Martin can I have hug? and he smiled and opened his arms wide...what a sweet & genuine soul!!

  • my favorite artist of all time....the whole package...PURE SOUL!!!

  • unbelievable.

    this is pure soul music.

thank you for posting this gem.

  • My dad knew him.. He says he was a great. He was there the first time he playes this song

  • This song rubs my soul hard. I get baked to this guy.

  • who do you guys think is better martin sexton or dallas green

  • Martin blows Dallas Green out of the water... I do like Dallas Green, but Martin's voice, his songwriter and his guitar playing are all way out of Dallas' reach... the only thing Dallas has going for him is a hot wife...

  • @bsmith86 though you have to admit, Dallas Green does have a lot of versatility if nothing else. Look at the contrast in the genres he does.

  • Martin is a true genius, His song's have too much music , and soul for commercial radio,

If Martin was made "Pop 40" by exposure

and sales the world would be a better place.

Very few artists make a 100% good album with no filler songs, Martin is one of the

few, And that they are his songs makes him a elite, today it seems 3 people write 90% of the mass media, and these 3 people lease their songs to soul-less voice boxes. Make it Martin, and I'll buy it!

  • Music doesn't get much better than this. Radio makes me want to vomit in comparison.

  • My God ! Stumbled across this video by accident. Never even heard of this guy before, but he is a freaking GENIUS !! What a gift he has. I will definitely be finding more of his stuff. Awesome.

  • Even better...go see him live. Lovely

  • Buy it man, Support the artist.

  • sometimes when i'm sad, martin sexton is the only person who can make me feel better.

  • found him on a comp a couple of years ago with this song. i like it when he does it a bit slower but it's still very very powerful.

  • incredible performance* Liked this better than the album version.

  • He's sooo incredible. Love his voice.

  • Great video, I love this song! Reminds me of some of Tom Goss' stuff.

  • been listening this guy for about 8 years now. Cant beleive he hasnt hit the big time yet.

  • i'm kinda glad he hasn't gone mainstream yet... if ever. the last thing he/we need is someone telling him what to play. and from his humble display of talent, i would think he's content right where he's at. however, i would agree that he deserves WAY more recognition! he's way too good to go unnoticed by ANYBODY!

  • i think he is content...you would know this if you have ever seen him live. i have seen him twice and i get the same feeling as well after watching his vids. he likes the small personal crowds.

  • right?

  • he chooses not to sign record deals, so he just launched an independent because he's fine with being more of a low key artist.

still cant take away from the talent.

  • Martin Sexton's falsetto is incredible!!!!!

  • Guys is he a Christian singer?....

  • well he's a singer.. he may or may not be christian. although, i don't think that makes him a 'christian singer'. :)

  • Ah, alright. Thanks. =)

  • martin refers to his higher power as a woman (ie Real Man & Love Keep Us Together),,,so who knows,,who cares, hes got, IT.

  • Agreed. Good music is good music.

  • I personally believe he Is God......

    :0)

    Long Live Martin's Music!!

  • love the song! good job! thanks jensen for recommending martin sexton!

  • This guy is good...very entertaining...:-)

  • i love the falsetto part

  • my sweet girl luvz this doood

  • martin sexton is oh so sexy. maeve sucks.

  • really nice

  • what a badass

  • It always irritates me so much to hear all those people chattering about in the background while this awesome talent is up there bearing his soul.

  • They singing with him, so they're sharing in his emotion by adding their own...its a beautiful experience to be a part of.

  • i saw him play "hey joe" on here and loved it, so i bought his new solo cd and black sheep--love them. which cd's should i buy from here???? hes amazing, i wish i'd heard of him a decade ago

  • Try Live Wide Open...can't go wrong with that one! Peace

  • @INTHEJOURNEY Agreed, just picked it up recently and it's incredible.

  • @n8webb most are good if you havent found one in the two yrs since postiing ur comment. all the live stuff is worth a trip. martin and his lady are class A people go check out a show!

  • I am a new Martin Sexton fan. I just bought Black Sheep about a week ago and I just can't stop playing it. I love this guy.

  • You should definately pik up Live Wide Open too! It's amazing

  • he's hammered, love it!

  • he hasn't had a drink in years - it was on a boat and was difficult to stand - i was there.

  • Beautiful!

  • I bought a Godin A6 specifically because of this song!

  • Wow. He is so good.
