Hendry is the only player to win 7 world titles. Hendry is the only player to win 5 consecuitive world titles. Hendry has the highest number of centuries, over 700. Hendry is joint first with the highest number of 147 breaks made, 9 a piece 2 at the crucible. Ronnie O'Sullivan is the best talent, but he doesn't work at it, he gets bored to easily. Stephen Hendry is still in the top 16 now, and he is still a contender for every tournament. He is a legend, ALONG with Davis, Reardon and O'Sullivan.

Obviously he has the skill and talent ; do you think it's less practice, that concentration goes as you get older just enough not to win every match ? ; What ?. @Stevetheoaktree He only had himself to blame... in the 1994 World final he had a lead of 16-8 over Hendry but he couldn't handle the pressure as Hendry made the greatest comeback in Snooker history winning 18-17.

my point is that O'Sullivan blows hot and cold, when he's hot he's the best there's ever been but when he's cold he can lose to anybody, I mean he is world number 1 so obviously he's got some consistency and I wish him all the best but in my opinion Hendry's crucible record and Davis' ranking title record will not be beaten any time soon by any player. I think to dominate O'Sullivan would have to be winning lots of titles per season but he doesn't, I hope he proves me wrong though

Ronnie will never dominate because he'll never be consistent enough, I doubt anyone will dominate the game like hendry or davis did because there is so much strength and depth in the game

I'm not doubting his talent I just think that the days of people winning 6-7 titles are gone because there are too many good players, if Ronnie did manage to get to Hendry's record of titles then that would be fantastic because he'd have had to beat better players along the way than Hendry did! As for the left handed thing Ronnie is terrifying I've seen Matthew Stevens and Shaun Murphy do the odd shot left handed but never construct breaks like O'Sullivan

Hendry has a record 7 world titles, 5 UK titles, 6 Masters titles. a record 36 ranking titles, a record 8 consecutive years ranked number 1, a record 762 centuries, most centuries complied in one tournament, highest accumilated prize money and a record 23 seasons in the top 16. I'm a huge fan of Ronnie's, but Hendry will always be the greatest ever player IMO. With Steve Davis as a close second.
