i just downloaded second life and i cant seem to find the apperance sidebar..i dont have it!! and the basic says i would be able to change my avitar! i need help...my avitar is bald with a weird outfit hahaha....HELPPP anyone :)

@ladyturner1234 lol, your on the basic mode :) log out of sl, check the login boxes, look on the "basic" thing, click it & choose advanced, if you need more clothes & realistic items, you can ask me, i'll help you with them, add me inworld: xValleriex incase you need help :)

@TheNicoleBee you can select two difrent modes when you log in, you can choose between advanced and basic interface. I prefer the advanced one though.

wow this isn't like the edit mode at all its seems so limited for my game play all i can do is edit his clothing and thats about it besides some extremely minor physical appearances that you cannot even notice the difference, ugh i have no idea how to work this thing?

The TOS states otherwise ron. I've seen people get banned just for being under 18 regardless of the sim rating. It usually happens when they openly admit to being underage. They get reported and investigated. I know cuz 2 1/2 years ago i got someone banned for it while in luskwood. :P

Do you have dual monitors? if so use your primary one to play second life. Also, press Ctrl, Alt & D to activate the client (you will need to log out&in after doing this). Click client on the top and go to Character, there should be a button saying "reset render" or something like that. Have a mess with those options and you should turn to your normal colour.

Actually it doesn't take that much memory, as it constantly loads the world around you. Of course that means that a fast connection is recommended.
