this case is top quality. I just wish that it had a side panel window so you could see all your pretty components. Especially if you are using UV reactive coolant for water cooling.

I recieved my Lian Li PC-X1000 today an I am very disappointed at it. The Sidepanels are not attached in a good way at the back, the is a gap in the middle of the panel on both panels. The overall quality was low compared to the 700D/800D. I´m returning this immediatly, don´t buy this case it´s overpriced and very sloppy engineering with the sidepanels. 0% KICKASS.

Nice case, no black interior & no window it´s great. It was between this and the Corsair Obsidian 700D. The 700D is great but I think the design of the case isn´t that good for aircooling like this. I also like when the exhaust are in the back not the top. The thing Ilike more in the 700D is that it is made of steel. Steel is more sturdier than alu. I ordered it today so well see if it´s good or not.

inside needs to come black, and needs a window.

and the freakin antec 1200 needs

bigger in general with bigger mobo tray.

And more space after big boy fan so if you wanna add a cut-in dual radiator you can so that the big boy takes out all of the air, and the radiators conduct heat from your full liquid cooling system.

I just bought one of these for my new P55 build. I havn't had any issues with the gromets might have been a defect. You also forgot to mention rodney that a 2x 140 rad is easily mounted in the front section there! =]]

Lian Li cases are more expensive because they use all Aluminum(ie: Non of their cases use steel or plastic,much cheaper materials), that is much higher quality, 3mm thick. And their build quality is far superior.

Besides being exceptionally tall, I dig it. Also this is towards Kg383, I don't speak for everyone but personally I love Lian Li just because they make quality cases. On top of that, cases that don't come with fancy designs like a lot of gamer cases. I enjoy minimalistic designs, excellent build quality, and work space. Everything Lian Li delivers. Albeit I do enjoy other case manufacturers like Coolermaster and Antec, but Lian Li is one of my favorites.

You raise a very valid point with that.

There is nothing "Overly-fancy" with ANY of there cases, yet they think they have the right to charge 100 or 200 (Sometimes more) dollars extra than any other case manufacturer...

And I especially dislike the interior of their cases. The shiny aluminum is annoying, and terrible to paint if you prefer a black or any other color interior.

There are SEVERAL other points I could also raise, but sadly, I have a character limit... Lol.

Not to be a dick or anything, but imo, i like the antec 1200 better. While this case has 140 mm fans where the 1200 has 120mm fans, the 1200 has a 200mm exhaust fan, which more than makes up for the 140mm's. The 1200 i think is actually bigger than this case (wider), but it is made out of steel, and lian li has better build quality, but imo, i like the 1200 better.

This case is very much like my Lian-Li PC-A77B. It comes with two intake fans and 6 5.25" drives. I bought an extra HDD cage with fan so now it has 3 intake fans and 3 5.25" drives. I also bought 2 of the optical drive bay covers so it looks very similar to this. The interior is very different though. I quite like the 'compartments' of this lay out, it would be great for WC-ing.

2 140mm exhaust fans + 8 expansion slots is a great touch, mine only has 7 and is the one thing I would change.

I have to agree delus; once you get above the level of the glowing 8 thousand fan gaming cases, you get to the extreme performance professional cases like lian lis and silverstones. the problem arrises when they tried to be like coolermaster or nzxt; the cases just suck.

Ah, aluminum is amazing! Whatever the price, I think an aluminum case is so worth it. It's one of those things you never think you need until you have it. I use the Ultra Aluminus (old case by today's standards), and never appreciated it until I bought a steel Cooler Master Mystique for my girlfriend (she liked the front bay doors). That thing was a lead brick compared to my Aluminus!

NzXT is complete shit. Don't say that I've never used their cases, I have. I'm sill using it on my old AMD system, the cooling is horrible, it's made of so much cheap plastic, crap leds, plus the toolless mounting hardware is just crap.

I will never buy lian li again. no disrespect to rodney but the cases are painted crap. very nice inside, it looks good from the outside but then the paint scratches to shit with a few months. cost me £170 last year. I had to use a thin black marker pen to try and hide the scratches showing the silver aluminium. all i did was clean it a few times with a soft cloth.

if you do buy one you might want to protect it with some kind of a spray on coathing. i dont know!!!!

I have had my Lian Li case for over 2 years and I have yet to get a scratch on it. I have not used any protective spray or what not and at most wipe it down with a cloth when it gets dusty. I even sometimes leave stuff like coins/ keys / phone etc on top of the case.
