Ya know, every time people talk about how evil the German army was, and how they are unworthy of our pity, I think of this. Imagine that you are soldier and your President has subjected THIS. This is not the SS or any of this other group of lunatics. These were brave men who either survived the horror of this, or they died in these miserable conditions. What a way to go. Their bravery was wasted by a madman.
