Retas Pro is an animation tool used by japanese. 1 sample of an anime... "One Piece" they used retas pro for this anime. Using Retas Pro you will have a total of 4 animation tool. stylos HD if you want to draw using your computer. traceman is only used if you like to draw like old style, using paper then digital printing. paintman is for coloring your anime and core retas is for creating scene and camera effects or anime effects =)
@sinitus thanks! i think it took me roughly 200 hours to make it. Everything from drawing, painting, sound, editing, etc. For softwares used, please check the description for this video.
*Hey please reply* i do my own manga/anime but i spend alot of my time cleaning and thinning my scanned drawing lines to make them thin like urs, is there an easier way? r how do you draw these drawings in the first place?
@jimmoy1995 well, most animators use tablets instead of scanning. Since the pixel ratios can already be set on the computer it can be toiled with a lot easier. I, myself, haven't entirely discovered the ultimate secret to thin lines, but what everyone says is a steady hand and 1px brushes on photoshop (or similar software). There are also editing features on certain programs which allow you to thin lines, just google search 'how to make clean line art scans' or something. Hope this helped! ^^
i knew that some animators do the entire process on the computer but i prefer the good old pencil on paper , but i will seach on google for a program thanks!
@redrhum31 well i guess a lot also use things like flash, but many animators should still be using frame by frame and THEN use other programs to animate motion to make animating smoother :)
Uh... how to rephrase... You first make initial sketches THEN you fill in larger blanks with computer CS THEN you use flash/animation/things like aftereffects to fill in for backgrounds/animations. It's complicated and everyone has their own technique of preference :)
@jimmoy1995 i don't use scanner at all. You can use vector lines from Flash or Illustrator, which ever you prefer. I have never used any of the animation programs, just Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro, After Effects. I think the dedicated animation software could be better because what I did was kind of tedious and I didn't know better or had resource 6 years ago when I made this..
@redrhum31 I looked up traceman on google so its a program that goes over your lines digitally to make better drawings? but what is retas? (thanks for this btw, if this program works u have saved me hours of work!)
Could somebody tell me how he made the backgrounds? Anyone got a link to a tutorial on YouTube. Well, i'm an artist myself, but i still have much to learn so a tutorial would help me much.
@BombayShow Thanks for the comment. I drew the background in Photoshop using Wacom tablet. I might have drew the clean lines in Illustrator. All the colors were painted using Photoshop.
@gomfucius2 i am finding it hard to find a program that will thin my scanned drawing's lines , do u have any suggestions and also what do u use adobe photoshop for?
i am finding it difficult to find a suitable program that will thin my scanned drawing's lines, do you have any suggestions? also what purpose do you use adobe illustrator for i have it but not sure what u do with it compared to photoshop
@gomfucius2 WOW thats really good man,and your creative vision is really amazing too, its so like the intros many animes have, hats off to you buddy lol
You my friend have an other subscriber! :D I really like this I am also an animatior but all of my animations go deleted for some reason. I used Photoshop CS4 to animate. and i am also making my own anime.
@DeathTheTween There's some screen capture softwares out there. If you are on a Mac, you can use SnapzPro or QuickTime Player. I often use SnapzPro to screen capture to study how other awesome animators animate their pictures. :)
thanks! i didn't keep track of how long but i did it while going to school. somewhere from 100 to 200 hours, i totally forgot.. Yeah, everything is done by me. Background is painted in Photoshop.
Hey I heard from 3dsmaxuser7 you worked with him or something. He told me to tell you he got scouted to one of the anime companies to host his anime. ANd that all that time he missed he was actually held at their company. He also said he was going to announce your music. Your very lucky to have him.
