  • this is a total fucking joke.... I suffer from actual mental disorders ... I can t study i have stress this is fucking ridiculous ...cbt i suppose is useful for "white people problems"

  • @kennedymickael works fulls time, goes to school part time, just got engage, lives with her parents and failed a major exam. That's a recipe for mental disorders.

  • For all those checking her out, not here to see what therapy is about, redtube is always open and free, why dont you watch a nice gang bang instead of ruining others educational expirience?

  • @sweetlildevil101 haha ur comment makes me laugh

  • See how one woman took on the world to conquer her anxiety f2fb.net

  • SILF (student I would like to ****)

  • she needs "sausage up the butt" therapy

  • @greeniem Grow up

  • bitch is hot

  • You can tell, he so wants to take her on that floor and kick her back door in.

  • can u concentrate..... unmmmm unmm ok yeaaa...

  • cant concentrate! too much sexual tension between the two!!!!:D

  • I know that this is way off subject but... DAMN she fine!

  • That's more along the lines of REBT withe ABC model.

  • If its real evidence youre after type Lord Layards and CBT into google and find out why CBT was supported and money spend delivering tiny evidence for its alleged effectiveness and why 12,000 people were funded to do the training by the govt. It's to get people paying taxes... IAPT are now overwhelmed by referrals for people with complex problems & they can't cope.

  • There are a couple things here that i don't like. The seats are a little too close and turned outward, i prefer them facing at each other so you can 'join' with the clients body language easier, but all in all a good video to a basic introduction to CBT

  • Good general iintroduction to CBT

  • i want to be part of the stuff thats on top of her.

  • @miamcu

You sound like your seeking more than superficial answers in your self development so i'd steer clear of cbt and check out humanistic or psychodynamic psychotherapies. New cbt is the brainchild of economics and is simply trying to increase govt tax income by getting people back to work. Its like 'come on pull yourself together' rather than , ok so it's capitalism, abuse, neglect or poverty thats contributing to people problems.

  • Cbt is not real psychotherapy. It's underqualified people dabbling with only one psychotherapy approach. It's like advertising go and have a deeper look in the mirror.

  • @leapsplashafrog Back that statement up with fact and maybe, just maybe id listen to you.

No, i wouldnt use it all by itself in a therapeutic process. But keep in mind that it is one of the MOST scientifically researched forms of therapy.

  • The process may of been condensed for the video example, because in the real world it would be a little premature to begin diagnosing faulty thinking within three minutes!

  • They sit soooo close together... I hope thats just for the camera... Otherwise his patients must be afraid ^^

  • Waiting for the porno music to kick in...

  • Cbt seems like greek stoicism. It's your fault think better thoughts. Sounds like thought hygiene to me. So this is what people accept as real psychotherapy these days. what a con. Give em peanuts and we'll all nod like monkeys.

  • @leapsplashafrog I would like to know what is psycotherapy for you, and it is a real question not criticism to your comentary at all, I think that I need psycotherapy and I have doubts about what school of therapy I must follow, so i am interested on all kind of opinions, thaks and sorry for my written english....

  • hmmm, they don't seem like actors at all.

  • Good

  • Snabb genomgång av KBT "in action"

  • I bet that guy makes hot noises while having sex....I so wanna fuck him

  • mmm, mmm, yeeaaa..

  • @TYMedia1 hahahaha! I read this comment before watching the video and I couldn't take it seriously after that!

  • psychology is a bunch of crap. they only have chemistry to back it up. if they had any physics in their model of the brain then the probloem of free will would be solved.

  • @zarp29 well.. we can all see who hear really needs to see a psychologist. I'm sure a chemist or a physicist would be able to help you with that poor attitude! YOINK!

  • what is the result of c b t?

  • Fast-forward to 3:00 and save yourself from listing to this chick bitch and rebitch about the same stupud crap. Get over it!

  • what you dont see is the part he takes her to bed and rocks her world.and then he says it will be $500.00 please and she says i feel like a new women.

  • all i heard was one two one four five

  • it sucks doesn't get rid of physical symptoms at all

  • It would be very good for some of us if you put somewhere trancription of this session because I don´t understand everything

  • i know what i'd do to cheer her up!

  • thanks this helped on my essay

  • Is it really necessary to blast the music at the beginning and the end? :)

  • @satijournal Dat's a hot beat tho

  • Good video..very helpful for me...thanks so much.

  • worst Fosters commercial ever

  • CBT is a form of modern day torture!

  • @IHUNGSAD no its not

  • @keaverkite Yes it is...I'm say that because if it's not carried out in the right enviroment and if the patient isn't mentally ill then, yes it is a form of torture.

  • I been stuttering all my life and for some reason when i rap it goes away. No bullshit. I even did a interview for The Stuttering Foundation of America about it. Check my channel to see what a difference a beat makes in my speech.

  • As a cognitive-behavioural counselling tutor, I find this session interesting and relevant. I have recommended it to my students for their earlier steps into the CB approach.

  • @MrPipiyin here i see a person who would benefit from such a counseling session from a cognitive development therapist. I have to ask myself, "What makes a person respond to a situation such as this in such a way as to degrade themselves?"

  • @michaelofGB45

How did you manage to make this post from a padded cell?

  • She needs ma big fat cawk! That will cure her!

  • a whole palvar about what gran would have said years ago"look on the bright side"a kind of denial about negative feelings.it could be harmful.given a fancy name for grandas talk and give these therapists employment

  • this is good therapy but she is sheltered bullshit

  • Is this really CBT? No, it's a CBT based counselling approach.

  • Cognitive behavioural therapy is a scam and it should never be considered as genuine therapy. The manner by which individuals understand, manage or control and re-direct their surface behaviors (or behavioral responses) is the quintessential opposite of any core psychotherapeutic concept, namely, the patient gaining ACCESS to underlying feelings and associated traumas beneath "responses" and thus the possibilities of true integration. Albeit "successful" it is an embarrassment and a sham!

  • @Neilgs, you need to do some research.

  • Really? Research in what? What did you have in mind?

  • why is she smiling so much?

  • are you kidding me, those ain't problems baby! cry baby!

  • This is painful to watch!! Stilted, creepy and too believable. If you are depressed you are probably aware or even overthinking the causation....

  • @FlitterFlyBy that was meant to be 'not to believable!'

  • CHEESE

  • I understand what's going on and I respect the goal/idea behind the video but the music does sound astonishingly cheeezey while it's clear to me that both participants are at least somewhat attracted to one another which makes it that much more awkward/humorous.

  • i think they said umm hmm yeah about 502 times. lol.

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy is shallow, ineffective, and serves the anxieties of the therapist.

  • @calderwkaufman I agree with you counselling only reminds the subconscious of the condition ,if you have anxiety reassurance from counselling will only serve to encourage a fear-responce anxiety-counselling cyclical dependence.

  • I think they need to sit a little closer together...FREAKS

  • CBT focuses rearward towards the problem and revisits it repeatedly, putting the client in the same emotional and mental state they had when they first experienced the problem(s). For effective treatment a person should seek a qualified NLP practitioner which is forward based, no context, short time required, and amazing results.

  • thank you soo much for this!!! it helps to see the theory we learn at uni in practice. you don't know how effective an approach is untill you see it used in clinical settings.

  • im in the middle of this course to help me with my anxiety but im finding before the sesion and during it my anxiety goes sky high?i also find that how can ansering questions on a computer help me beacause its not

  • You feel failure? Well, to my dismay another failure was to visit the CBT therapist. You dont look like a pigeon to be trained and conditioned. Moreover, he gave you a sheet of paper to read? Those therapists still exist?

  • acting...

  • I thought this (and Part 2) conveyed CBT very well. Thanks for posting and helping us students get a handle on the theory. Remember this is a snapshot folks so you're not going to learn 'all about' any theory in 5 minutes. It's only a taster not a 3-course dinner.

  • hi, i have really bad derealization and anxiety and i am going to visit a cbt today i just want to ask do you think this will help me and make my anxiety go away? can they prescribe medication for this?

  • Comment removed

  • I am just about to go to my first session of CBT and I'm not looking forward to it. I think the concept is absolute nonsense. I Googled CBT and found an experts opinion that: "CBT is a second class therapy for citizens deemed to be second class"

  • @ITH831 an expert in what?

  • @mikeydriven .......Eeeerrrmmm....An expert in hedgehogs.... :|

  • cbt for me now is crap i don't work well i go to camhs and it aload of crrap

  • @chazzii321 uh. CBT does not work well with personality disorders. May want to look into that.

  • CBT is only the beginning.

  • @BinAlladin wake up. grow up. you remind me of the man that once said you should never be happy because at some point something bad will happen and then you will end up feeling down and thinking ngative thoughts. he thinks it is better to not let yourself down which is why we should all be unhappy. i am impressed that this sort of stuff is being recognised by the public, if you knew what i know then you would realize the person writing this to you came from the gutter and built an empire.

  • What in the hell are you talking about?? CBT has around 80% effectiveness for many problems. What a simple minded goof you are if you think the medical model is the only answer. Psychotherapy is wonderful and works.

  • Thats you opinion and,but you don´t know because you are not professional as I am.

  • You're certainly no professional if you can't cite evidence based studies to back up your claims.

  • You are nothing but fake person who has no truth for authority and government structure. shame on you fake paky

  • What in god's name are you talking about you illiterate moron? You expect us to believe you're a mental health professional when you can't even formulate a coherent sentence? Nice try. Still waiting on your sources for your nonsense claims. "no truth for authority" lol what does that mean?

  • I have a lot of respect for all the main core counselling theories being used today.

Without a doubt, CBT is one of many which are effective for SOME individuals. However, I do think that it is unfair that it is portrayed as the 'bees knees' of counselling theories. It is liked by the government and NHS because it is cost effective and offers short term sessions. The sessions may end, even when the client was not ready to move on. Also, It is ineffective if a client is emotional charged up.

  • Lifesober you devil! That's so funny.

  • at anxietyace . com it shows how to stop panic attacks

  • Marcia, it seems to me that you are having reservations about marriage, because you have unresolved commitment issues. I want you to close your eyes while I massage your feet, and as I work my way up your thighs, began removing your blouse.

This exercise will help you through your obvious problems of regret having not experienced a full spectrum of sexual experiences. I'll help you through this Marcia, and your marriage will be happy and fulfilling.

    Trust me....

  • wow lol

  • I concur with your findings doctor Dickherdown.

  • hahahaha.

  • jdlevity you say this is REBT rather than CBT? I ask because there's no disputation of anything (LFT, ego disturbance or self downing as exhibited by client).

Appears they've appropriated the ABC model from REBT and use Ellis's basic Musts (eg be approved by significant others and acheiving in important respects).

Looks like CBT with some REBT bolted on rather than purely typical of either approach.

  • Should he be nodding and saying "yeah" while she's telling him how crap she feels.

  • I think so. He's acknowledging her pain. He's telling her in this way that he understands and that he's there to help. However, the rest of the interview doesn't impress me. Not much of any therapy in there (only starting at the very end). 1-He looks like a student on his first time; 2-this is staged, it's not for real.

At least, that's the impressions I get. So I wouldn't buy that dvd.

  • that accent is horrible

  • She's hot as fuck, sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

  • It is better THAN not better then. My God youtube should ban comments where people cannot spell, which by the way are abundant!

  • what is the difference between then and than? o.o

  • Then is a time. Than is used for comparisons. For example, "I liked when youtube videos could be longer THAN 10 minutes. It was way better back THEN". Or ."It was better then".

  • Thanks!

  • @Unknnnnn Buy a dictionary or use one online

  • not fare

  • Very interesting.

  • Lol your funny!!

  • For those that don't understand what is going on, please have more respect for the effort that these people have made to assist us with our studies. This is a well role-played exercise. Thank you.

  • @fanny5454 Sorry, Fanny. I don't have ANY respect for "COGNITIVE-BEHAVIORAL THERAPY" or "Behavioral Modification" whatsoever. Your studies are worthless. Thumbs down!

  • @ticks4ticks4

thanks for that constructive thinking. Could you at least contribute in a more mature way - like telling us for example, what studies you think are worthwhile enough to give a thumbs up? Its a wonder no one has replied to you, however, I believe in the fundamental assumption that there is something to be gained from listening to everyone's opinion. So I guess I await your reply. Unless you were trolling along.. then happy trolling!

  • @tdotsucks Not trolling! A better way for me to put to word would be,--at the end of the comment--" I give this [video clip a thumbs up!" THanks for your response

  • Cognitive Therapy technique doesn't work this way...

  • This is an advert to buy a DVD, this is completely unethical!

  • That woman is acting, or at least attempting.

3mins in to the video I am freaking out, this is the most stressful experience I have had all day!

  • definitly acting!!

  • lol for real?

  • The Aussies seem to have a good grasp on the Mental Health Areas and research. I think they are a touch bit better then the USA. I love the accents and the slang they use.

Had to watch this for school was not to bad

    9/10

  • Actually, this not CBT, rather a derivation of REBT.

  • and do you think we all know the meaning of all those shortenings?

  • CBT=Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (the implied therapeutic intervention in the video)

REBT=Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (The actual therapeutic intervention in the video)

    My apologies for the confusion.

The google search engine is an extremely eficient and useful tool for learning about new things and investigating the meaning of things that you do not understand.

  • I would watch this video strictly because of the intro music..and I'm not kidding

  • I love this banter... yeah, yeah. ok, yeah, yeah. yeah so much, yeah.

  • I am sorry but I have major agoraphobia and high high anxiety all the time and watching this video about how she failed a test and need CBT sickens me.

  • #4 would definately be a self deafeating belief because competence doesn't come on the first attempt.

  • I don't trust that ginger either

  • Failing an examine is painful but you can over come it. I understand how painful you must feel and I regret your feelings but just like a baby that crawl before they walk sometime they fall. I have learned my child every time she fails to get back up and try again. For different educational resources that may help you over coming failure, may seek a new school or evaluate you major maybe it just does fix in you category as a human for some of us are good at some things and others we fail.

  • Dr. Phil would have just said "yur stoopid...yew need to stay in therapy so I can continue billing the hmo..."

  • What kind of porn were you watching? 5:46 of non-stop talking...Sorry but porn needs to get right into the action!

  • Sadly, I think some of them are trying to pull acting careers. But I think they need to stick to the point...and you are exactly right.

  • This looks like an introduction to a porno....

  • hahahahaha

  • This video is actually from a porno. I have it on DVD. It's titled CBT which stands for "cock and ball therapy." This video cuts off right before the good part. haha you were right. this is just like a porno with the music and everything.

  • Look how close her foot is to him!

  • Awkwarddd

  • It's a tough job. You have to nod AND think [of things like your grocery list, etc.]...

  • Comment removed

  • hahaha! that was pretty funny. so you were thinking specifically of me? that's awesome.

  • Session was well done! Thank you for sharing this!

  • all she did was talk to him....

  • the beginning sounds like its going to become a porno

  • Therapy, the great swindle.

  • ive just finished a CBT course wit the nhs, for me it worked, difference in thinking etc someone who understands,

it works, in my opinion better than straight forward cousilling

  • @saffy199 add me, id like to know how you got it form the NHS, im having trouble getting the help mate

  • Its the test that she failed, that's getting her the most. It's the one point that makes her crack.

  • so what about her parents and that pressure shes had from them to suceed in Uni?

  • you know this kinda looks like how a porno starts out

  • Haha good point Ginissi (not that ive seen one) I think CBT needs to be looked into more I think its just a good excuse for wannabe psychiatrists to "practice" on people.....certainly in my experience.

  • oh i bet havn't *halo* lol

  • Sad to hear that you had a bad experience; I had really bad ones with a psychiatrist & a child counselor. I haven't tried CBT but if you do some research, you'll find that as a category (including dialectical, rational-emotive, etc.) they're the most successful. The one with the most charlatans/hacks is probably "talk for years with little to show" psychoanalysis, especially the Freudian "it's all about private parts" type.

  • HAHA!

  • @Ginissi Yea it does. lol

  • @Ginissi Usually they sit on a couch next to each other.

  • @Ginissi wouldn't know!! lmao

  • @Ginissi

    spot on there mate:D

  • think this is bad to be posting photos on yt?

  • this is sooo annoying! they both are!

  • Behold, projection in full cry .....

  • ....baby,you ARE good enough. Puppy? huppy? whats his name? ditch him!! obviously he isn't taking care of business. I would make you happy. If only for a little while. You know; get you focused and back on track. Release all of that tension you have because you are trying to be perfect. I am not perfect. BUt I perfectly understand and have what you need. c'mon guys. you know thats what all of us men are thinking. I think we all need to approach life w/moderation. A time for.and a time to.
