  • Hello all i can see online is facial gel stuff like that, do i need only hair aloe vera gel or any aloe vera gel will do?

    regards

  • @muaythaibest1 O dear, I am sorry it has take me so long to get back to you. Yes you can use any kind of aloe gel but I suggest that you put it on your skin first let it dry and then try to rub it off. If the gel rubs off like glue dont use it in your hair because it will cause build up and make you lock look dirty. Lood for after sun care aloe vera gel it will work in this mixture. Banana Boat makes on get the clear. Hope this help if you have more questions let me know.

  • youre beautiful!

  • @Beanz572 Thank you!

  • Hi. This looks good. I was wondering if you would be willing to give the exact name of the Aloe Vera? I have seen different kinds at the health food store. Some of them you take orally. But looking at the bottle in the video, it looks just like the one you take orally. So if you could give the exact name, it may help. Thanks!

  • @fairychild97 Well in this video I was using a brand called "Lily of the Desert" dietary supplement. If you get the supplement please know that it is very runny (I dont use that one anymore). I would advise you to try the "Lily of the Desert" 99% Aloe Vera Gelly. It is nice and thick and blends very well. Also I put Virgin Coconut oil in my mixture instead of Olive oil. Hope this helps.

  • How long does it take to dry in your hair? Can it be applied to wet hair?

  • @ruff959 Yes it can be applied to wet or dry hair. I dont really know how long it takes to dry.

  • This product looks like a good one to use where can I get the Aloe Vera product from? Thanks

  • @asims4life I got mine from my local health food store. Im sure you can get it on line just google pure aloe vera gel. Make sure that Aloe is the first ingrediant and that it does not contain alcohol b/c alcohol is going to dry out your hair. Hope this helps.

  • I think I'll try this out using the aloe vera, honey, olive oil and coconut oil. I'll let you know how it turns out.

  • @aaronj09 That sounds like a good combo, Please do let me know how it turns out.

  • @damnedgenericname Glad I could help, good luck

  • Interesting, I use carrot oil and honey to retwist. Is it cool if I use coconut oil and honey to retwist?

  • @SAI03 I think that would be fine if your hair likes that combo. I changed this recipe slightly and I use coconut oil instead of the EVOO.

  • Is it ok to use the aloe vera gel by itself?

  • @Lolzatyourfacemoo Yes, it is fine to use alone. But if you have dry hair you may want to add something just to give your hair more of a sheen.

  • Do you still use this recipe when retwisting your beautiful locs?

  • @teddygirl52 Kind of. I have changed the formula a bit. I found that my hair like coconut oil more than EVOO so I switched from using the EVOO to the coconut oil. Coconut oil also gives the product a creamier consistency.

  • Thank you for the information. I let you know how it turn out. I do have a question is the aloe vera loc gel, use as a scalp conditioner and can I use fresh aloe?

  • @pudding7167 Yes I have heard that some poeple using fresh aloe I never have try it and let me know how it comes out.

  • @Cottomighty im not sure about it being a scalp conditioner.

  • Thank you. I will be making some soon & will probably add some shea butter to the mix, since I use to twist with just shea butter.

  • omg you are so beautiful

  • @ozNOLA504 Thank you.

  • I just made some and I am so excited to try it when I get home from school today!!!!

  • Hello, have u seen a lot of product build up in your locs using this method. My locs are only 5 weeks old and have not locked of course, but I will be retwisting them myself and am trying to find a method where I will not get build up and flakes from the product. Thank you.

  • how you try the aloe vera plant on your locs

  • @marcus23332333 No I havent, but I have seen a few people here on Youtube that use it and they say it works great. I cant seem to find a Aloe plant anywhere.

  • that is a big ass measuring cup lol

  • @JAMCTV Lol yeah I guess it is.

  • wow thats a great method imma try that ut how am i gonna get that extra vrigin oil tho

  • @summerrblu I get it from the grocery store. They sell it at Sams Club, Walmart, pretty much every where

  • @summerrblu i am looking for it and the other oil i dont see it but bear in mine we dont have a wallmart in jamiaca lol. well i am working on something to get rid of the frizz i hate seeing them i just want it to tone done a bit and if using the aloe gel can make that happen then imma try it

  • mine came out runny ; (

  • @SAYSHABIE AWW Oh no. It may be the kind of aloe you are using. Even tho it is runny it will still do the job. Good luck.
