katherine was teaching at Valentina Kozlova's school in nyc. she taught class to a few students including me and whitney jensen. she was an amazing teacher! but i don't think she is teaching anymore

She teaches a lot at the American Theater Dance Workshop in New Hyde Park on Long Island and also coaches private students. She was at YAGP with a student in Philadelphia two weeks ago in the senior division.

She shames this male dancer. If you see some of the vintage videos here on youtube with her and her tsarist teachers, you will see why. She is a product of a long and illustrious tradition. Tis is why she sooo outshines this young man. In the grand ballet there is nooo substitute for age and experience. NONE!! Only in age can one impart the secrets of the ballet and such a noble succesor. In this all to short clip she is briiliant

Too bad the guy's turns weren't so hot. But, on an interesting note, the time when he's out there solo he's doing turns to the left. I just thought you guys might not have caught that. A girl shouldn't out turn a guy in a duet like that. Maybe by like, one turn, but by 5? That's cold.

Thank you for posting this. I saw her at the ballet in the audience so many times when she was a child. Even then she looked like a perfect little ballerina, and she was such a sweet little girl. I'm just overjoyed to see her and how she turned out.

Her turns were....incredibly solid. I wish the camera zoomed closer, but I still enjoy watching this from a distance. I would love to dance a PDD with her, too bad she's retired. She is capable to bring down the house.

Well, I should modify that. The Black Swan videos I have posted were in the middle of her Princeton years. The others are from after Princeton. Healy did quit strangely early around thirty, but it was not because of college--she had completed that already.

I wonder why she retired early? She proabably could have danced for many more years. Well, for one thing - she resumed her figure skating career when she quit dancing, but was was this the real reason why she retired from ballet?

she quit to go to college.

No, she danced with English National as a teenager, then came back to USA and went to Princeton. After graduating, she moved back to Europe and danced there for most of the nineties. My films are from after she finished university.
