At that point, Stefan feels guilty and stops trying to interfere with Steve and Laura dating, but Myra vows never to stop until Steve takes her back and dumps Laura (of course, she doesn't succeed because Steve/Laura eventually marry).

Eventually, I always knew they would be together. Because with time, a person grows on you. And when they do, it can turn into love. Even clearer than you expected. Myra was a pretty girl, smart and all, but she was just over the extreme with Steve. I know you would say Steve was the same way with Laura. But that was different, they had history. Myra just went too crazy over Steve, the stalking and spying proved it lol. He may had felt something for Myra, but it wasn't the same he had for Laura.

That's true. If Myra did love Steve like she said, she would've respected his personal space and let him be happy with Laura. She didn't love him at all, she was obsessed and possessive of him. Steve saw how bad Myra was in season 5 and mid to late season 9. Those were a precursor to what his life would've been like if he was married to her. In the end, Steve dodged the bullet in Laura's decision to marry him.

@ladyfire44 In a way, Laura dodged the bullet too. If Steve had moved to Russia before Myra found out anything, Myra would probably never forgive Laura for it and would hold the grudge for the rest of her life for "taking Steve away" and subsequently breaking his heart.

True too, but Stefan accepted that Laura loved Steve and moved on with his life. I wondered how the show would've ended if they had skipped th elost in space episodes and went straight to the wedding. Imagne how Myra would feel when an uninvited OGD comes to the wedding and stalks her. Maybe she would've found out what it was like to be in Steve's shoes and finally grow up.

@MapleDark197 Are you referring to Steve and Stefan? Actually, Stefan is Steve's former alter ego.  In season 5, Steve created Stefan to fix all of his problems Laura stated (his clumsiness, annoying voice, his social ineptness, etc.), and Laura fell in love with Stefan, but Steve ultimately decided he did not want to win Laura's heart that way :-).

@rpmangin But then again, both Steve and Myra were both initially socially awkward. Fortunately for Steve however, both Eddie and Laura grew to like the guy as a friend. Similarly can be said for the Waldo/Steve relationship after Waldo stopped hanging out with the bully and started hanging out with Eddie. Myra, however was still playing with stuffed animals as revealed in the Season 8 opener.

You got that one right there. Myra hated how Steve improved himself and it revealed in Breaking Up Is Hard To Do. she wanted him to go back to sexy nerd she loved so much. When Steve refused, she pretended to break up with him. The ploy failed and he eloped with Laura.

Here the only change I would've done to the ending of the episode. Rather than be upset with Laura for stealing Steve, Myra wishes them the best of luck and moves on with her life.

I'm not sure how true that is. In the fifth season, Myra was an even worse stalker to Steve than Steve initially was to Laura, but after the stalking ended, Myra was generally well behaved, and she had a good relationship with Steve and even Laura, with exception of the time she threw a barbecue grill through the Winslows' kitchen window because Steve refused to marry her. However, in order to rush the Steve and Laura relationship, they very much erased Myra's development.

Myra did ask him about why he was more in love with Laura than her, twice. However, Steve refused to tell her and for a good reason. He was extemely scared of what Myra would do to Laura if he did tell her the truth. This was evident in Buds 'N' Buns and throughout seasons 5 and 9 when she saw her as competition for Steve's love. The only person who knew his real reason in why he loved Laura more than Myra was Maxine.

That episode was "Buds 'N Buns," and that was the episode that started exposing Myra's neurotic, possessive, and jealous nature, which is what turned Steve off.

yes, but until Buds' N Buns, Steve was attracted to Myra not only because she was beautiful, but she was sweet and intelligent. She accepted him for who he was and never did anyhting to hurt him. After that and Season 5 began, Myra showed her true nature which scared him off. It wasn't until Season 6's Paradise Bluffs, when Steve agreed to go steady with her that she calmed down for a while.
